Nikki Haley blamed Donald Trump for division in the Republican Party and GOP losses in Michigan since Trump became president in 2016. Michigan was once a "beacon" for Republicans, but losses have mounted under Trump, including two Democratic governors and legislative control flipping to Democrats. Haley said as long as Republicans keep claiming false 2020 election fraud, they will continue losing. Haley criticized Trump, suggesting he treats the Republican Party as a personal playground by improperly using campaign funds for personal legal battles and attacking the supporters of his opponents.
