00:00 I'm very happy that all of us as Screen Actor Guild members
00:05 are here to be lauded and applauded by our peers.
00:08 It's one of those nights where it is enough
00:11 to have been nominated.

00:15 - There's so many great projects.
00:22 Just in the line here, I saw so many of my heroes
00:24 and just friends that are doing well.
00:26 - It's a lot of work to make these shows and movies happen.
00:30 So this moment means a lot.
00:31 - It's a life-changing experience for me
00:34 to be able to help people in need, in the moment.
00:37 - You know, I have to tell people, when you look at me,
00:39 there are no bad vibes here.
00:41 My intentions are good.
00:43 The work that I do, it's not just for myself.
00:46 It is for those who are gonna follow behind me.
00:49 Because when I was coming up, there were those ahead of me,
00:52 Judy Pace, Rosalyn Cash, Virginia Capers,
00:55 and I could go on.
00:56 Women who poured into me as I came up.
01:00 Nancy Wilson, from all different factions of the industry
01:04 to make me the woman that I am still becoming.
01:08 - "Globe and Bass Reeves" is something that took a while
01:11 to get off the ground and to be in a position
01:14 where not only did we get it made,
01:16 but it has been so well reviewed and received
01:19 and now is being accoladed.
01:20 You know, these are all the things you hope for.
01:22 Not always does it happen.
01:23 So we're basking in this great moment.
01:26 - I'm hopeful and I'm feeling honored
01:28 to be nominated by our peers.
01:30 You know, it was raw.
01:31 To be nominated by actors who've seen the work,
01:34 was just an incredible thing.
