00:00 Manny Sinkang preparing to walk 190 miles with his son Jeevan says he can't wait to get started.
00:09 The duo set off in the early hours of Tuesday morning from Molyneux Stadium aiming to reach
00:14 Newcastle St James's Park in under five days for their Premier League fixture. I caught up with him
00:21 to get his thoughts ahead of this monster journey. My name's Manny Sinkang, born and bred Wolverhampton.
00:27 I've done various different mad things for different causes. I've become a volunteer
00:38 ambassador for Dementia UK back in 2018. So I've been fundraising for that charity as well as
00:46 others but mainly for that one over the last six years. Manny has raised over £160,000 for Dementia
00:54 UK for this challenge alone, raising more than £260,000 since 2018, taking on multiple walks
01:02 to various Premier League grounds to watch his beloved Wolves. He has been delighted with the
01:08 response of the club and supporters worldwide. You know the support has been incredible. I mean
01:16 just honestly, I mean Tommy Dawes sent me a message the other day, Mattis Coon, you know
01:23 players, so even players have bought into it. And just the other night I had a $500 donation from
01:29 the States, anonymous, I don't know who from. Could be anyone, I don't know. You know I've had
01:33 Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Wolves fans are everywhere and even Newcastle fans really,
01:42 you know, this is a Newcastle are a real club, you know, with proper passionate fans and the
01:50 support I've had from them, their liaison officer, their trust. So they've sorted a lot of things out
01:57 for me when I finish. And yeah it's going to be emotional. My mum and dad are going to be there,
02:03 they're usually in India or not about, so my mum and dad, my wife and children, sister and fans and
02:11 yeah, you know that moment, that elation is going to be something that you can't sort of script I
02:17 think, it just happens in the moment. I've got health, I've got family, you know, in a week this
02:23 is all over and I'm back to my normal life and then those people who live with the condition
02:29 of dementia or a loved one, you know, going through that, they live like that for the rest
02:34 of their lives, it never leaves them. So that's what I focus on, I focus on the stories that people
02:39 tell me, I focus on all the huge donations people give, you know, and that they become your energy
02:47 I think and that's where you take your mind frame. As Manny embarks on another incredible journey,
02:53 here's to hoping his legs aren't too sore when he arrives in the northeast and that he leaves
02:59 seeing an inform wool side take home three points.
