Bodies Found of Couple Allegedly Killed by Ex-Lover Cop, Roiling Australian LGBT Community

On Tuesday, Australian police found the bodies of a couple hours after the jilted police officer lover who allegedly shot them dead told investigators where to look, officials said, hidden under rocks and debris on a rural property.

00:05 Luke Davies and Jessie Baird. Today, this afternoon, detectives attached to
00:12 Strike Force Ashfordby have located a second crime scene in
00:17 Bungonia, which is a separate location to the scene that they had been searching
00:23 yesterday and earlier, and at that location we believe we have located two
00:29 bodies. The families have been informed and crime scene detectives have just
00:38 arrived on scene at that location now where a specialist forensic
00:43 investigation will take place. It has been a huge investigation and I'm very
00:48 proud of the work that all the detectives and police across this
00:52 organisation have put into this investigation to get where we have come
00:56 today. It is an important time in this investigation that we now know, we
01:04 believe, we're very confident that we have located Luke and Jessie.
01:10 They attended Silverwater Jail and spoke to the accused. As a result of that, he
01:17 provided assistance to an investigation, were able to provide a location of where
01:24 Luke and Jessie were, and as a result of that, at about one o'clock today, Homicide
01:32 Squad detectives attended a location off Gerrara Road at Bungonia. It's about 20
01:39 minutes from the original search location where they have located what
01:46 they believe are the remains of Luke and Jessie. There were two surf bags that have
01:53 been found, some other which has been covered with some debris, some other
01:57 items of interest of significance that are also located, and at that stage it was
02:04 declared a crime scene and immediately the family were informed of the
02:09 development.
