2024 three-star Bend (Ore.) Summit tight end discussed being released from NLI.
Transcript
00:00 I was kind of in shock. I didn't see it coming at all. I don't think anyone did.
00:08 And for the first week it was really rough because I was super excited about Arizona,
00:15 especially how they played last year and just everyone there. I knew almost everyone there and
00:22 loved everything about it. And then it all just changed. People say the people makes the place.
00:28 That's exactly what I feel in college football. And then once the new coaching staff came
00:35 from San Jose State, I got to know them a little bit and had a month to figure out if I wanted to
00:44 stay at Arizona with that new coaching staff, if I felt like that was the right move for me, or
00:50 release from my NLI and see what other options I have and hopefully get an opportunity at UW.

01:45 Pao Pao called me and I got an offer. I heard back from a lot of the schools who originally
01:52 recruited me. A lot of smaller schools, like Big Sky Level, schools, a few of them that
02:00 recruited me originally, wanted to reach out. Cal reached out. And then a bunch of schools on the
02:09 East Coast that I don't think have a tight end for my class. But I've always wanted to stick
02:16 with West Coast schools. So that was kind of easy to rule out for me. So I'd say probably like...
