Mobile driving licences, self-assessment of fitness to drive and a probationary period for novice drivers are some of the changes MEPs voted on

00:00 The European Parliament has adopted plans to update driving license rules to improve

00:06 The proposals include mobile licenses and the possibility of mandatory health checks
00:11 for new and renewed driving licenses.
00:13 The plans were approved by 339 votes in favor, 240 against and 37 abstentions.
