00:03 Do you know who's favorite at the FAMU Sportsbook to win the Big 12 in 2024?
00:07 It's Utah.
00:08 Yes, you heard that correct.
00:09 Same team that was in the Pac-12 last year at five and four and roughly in what?
00:14 Sixth place overall is now the favorite here,
00:17 followed by Kansas State, Kansas, Arizona, and Texas Tech.
00:20 And by the way, shout out the state of Kansas here,
00:23 putting two teams in the top three to win the Big 12.
00:27 By the way, Lance Lightfoot also big contract extension and
00:30 rightfully deserved as well.
00:31 The Big 12 next year, Ben, talk to me about this.
00:34 >> So Donnie, in the conference realignment world that we live in in college
00:39 football, I was excited to see all the conference championship odds,
00:43 unlike my co-host for next year, 2024 in CFP.
00:48 But I was most interested in seeing what the Big 12 title landscape would look like.
00:53 I knew Georgia was going to be the favorite more than likely in the SEC.
00:57 I knew Ohio State was going to be the favorite in the Big 10,
01:00 Clemson, Florida State, and the ACC as we'll get to.
01:03 But with the reimagined Big 12, now with 16 members,
01:08 how is it going to look into 2024?
01:11 I thought Utah might be booked as the favorite, and that's what we have.
01:17 Utah plus 340.
01:18 If you've been paying attention, the Utes are a team to trifle with.
01:22 Before last season, and they're starting quarterback Cam Rize,
01:25 they're not playing a single game.
01:28 The Utes had won two consecutive Pac 12 titles.
01:32 Cam Rizing is back for yet another year,
01:36 based on eligibility that runs rampant in college football.
01:40 That is why Utah is booked as the favorite,
01:43 even in its first year in the Big 12 conference.
01:47 A big shout to the Sunflower State, as Donnie mentioned.
01:50 K-State right there, neck and neck, only 20 cents behind the Utes in Kansas,
01:56 keeping Lance Leipold in Lawrence.
01:58 Jalen Daniels returns as the quarterback for KU,
02:02 one of the most dynamic players of the quarterback position,
02:05 not only in this league, but all around college football in Arizona,
02:10 despite the upheaval earlier this offseason.
02:12 Jed Fish, who had built back the program,
02:15 departing to go to Washington after Kaitlin Aboar goes to Alabama.
02:19 They bring in Brent Brennan, the former San Jose State head coach.
02:23 We thought that the quarterback, Noah Fafita,
02:25 would follow Jed Fish, perhaps, to Seattle.
02:28 He stayed in Tucson.
02:30 Arizona is loaded once again.
02:33 I am very intrigued to see how the Big 12 plays right now,
02:37 and I think the odds are correct.
02:40 If I was going to bet which team I like to win the Big 12 conference,
02:44 give me the Kansas Jayhawks, the most dynamic player
02:47 at the quarterback position in this conference,
02:49 Jalen Daniels, and the program builder, Lance Leipold.
02:52 If there was ever a year for KU to win a football championship
02:58 in the Big 12, 2024 is that.
03:01 (upbeat music)
03:04 you
