Electronic Arts , Announces Layoffs.
In a memo to employees, Electronic Arts (EA) CEO Andrew Wilson announced that the company will
lay off about 5% of its staff, Mashable reports. .
That equates to almost 700 jobs.

operations to deliver deeper, more

more changes for the company.

Wilson says that this will help EA to hone in on its "biggest opportunities — including [they company's] owned IP, sports, and massive online communities.".
The 'Star Wars' game that was being developed
by Respawn Entertainment has been canceled. .
However, the 'Black Panther' and
'Iron Man' titles from Cliffhanger Games
and Motive Studios, respectively, remain
in development for the time being. .
