00:00 Daylight saving time is near and while we're springing ahead, that means we'll lose an
00:04 hour of sleep when the clocks move up, and technically an hour of our already filled
00:09 days.
00:10 So here are 5 ways to maximize your time.
00:17 For starters, make sure to get a full night's sleep.
00:20 You can't maximize anything when you're exhausted, so if you can, head to bed an hour
00:24 earlier the night the clocks change.
00:27 Next, plan ahead.
00:29 Make your to-do list the night before so you'll be off and running the next day.
00:35 Determine your most productive time of day, then take advantage of it.
00:39 If you know you're a morning person, for example, get up and get those things done.
00:45 If you're more of a night owl, do them before bed.
00:50 Control as many interruptions and distractions as possible.
00:53 Silence your phone, post a sign on your door or cubicle that says you're on deadline.
00:59 Remember, just because someone asks you to do something doesn't always mean you have
01:03 to.
01:04 If you just can't fathom fitting in that visit or outing into your day or doing that
01:09 favor someone asked, just say no.
01:11 know.
