00:03 If one of those two moves works out for the Braves,
00:05 they're even better than they were a year ago,
00:08 because they really didn't have to give much up.
00:11 >> I mean, I gotta be honest, I think that this Kelnick trade,
00:15 this is sort of the rich robbing from the poor a little bit.
00:18 Like obviously, Kelnick was not unbelievable last season.
00:23 It was the first time he was ever above league average in OPS.
00:27 It was the first time he ever batted above 181.
00:30 His K rate was still quite high.
00:33 His walk rate was the highest of his career.
00:35 But what's interesting to me was he was smoking the ball when he made contact.
00:40 45% hard hit, 30% line drive.
00:44 His fly ball rate went way down.
00:46 He just was squaring up the ball.
00:48 Remember, I mean, this guy is not even at peak age, Jared Kelnick.
00:52 Like he's 24 right now, right?
00:54 So we don't even see a lot of guys who are drafted in the first round of
00:57 the Major League Baseball draft until they are 24, 25.
01:01 A lot of the guys historically have just stayed in the minors for a while.
01:05 My guess, Craig, this probably works out like absolute gangbusters for
01:10 the Atlanta Braves that he ends up batting where Michael Harris batted for
01:14 a lot of last season, like sixth.
01:16 He might even end up giving them better hitting stats than like
01:20 Marcelo Zuna, really would not be surprised.
01:22 But like, and I mean, I historically, if you go back and
01:25 watching these shows, I have always been buying on him.
01:28 Like he just is one of those guys where the swing looks so pure, it's hard for
01:31 me to imagine it not working out.
01:33 But this was, I think, good business by the Atlanta Braves.
