00:11 I am Garima, this is Gigi's Platter & today a very tasty snack
00:16 made out of cheese & mint & potato, that's why it is called Cheesy Minty Potato Wedges
00:22 For this very few ingredients as usual
00:26 boiled potatoes, salt & pepper, cheese & mint as it is a famous dish & butter to make it
00:32 so let's get going, heat up the pan
00:35 potatoes are boiled
00:39 and we will cut it into small cubes
00:42 if you notice, we are using the skin because that gives it a crispier taste as & when we cook
00:56 our pan is heated up, now we will add butter
00:59 you can also add olive oil but butter will enhance the saltiness of the dish
01:09 now we will add some mint leaves
01:13 these are whole leaves not chopped
01:15 mint leaves give it a unique flavor
01:19 on low flame we will fry the mint leaves

01:28 now we will add boiled potatoes
01:31 along with the skin
01:33 keep the flame on low & mix it well
01:45 we don't need to cook the potatoes but we will fry it till it gets a little crisp
01:55 this is the right time to add salt & pepper
02:01 keep in mind that we will add cheese in this
02:08 and cheese has salt & butter has salt so we will balance it with the salt we add from the top
02:15 now we will add black pepper
02:19 this is according to your taste
02:21 mix it well
02:27 now we will increase the flame so that it gets crisp
02:37 in 4-5 minutes it will get crisp from all sides
02:42 keep on flipping it so that it gets crisp from all sides
02:51 see our potatoes are getting brown
02:55 so this is the right time to add cheese but we will reduce the flame
03:00 because cheese melts very fast so its nearly ready dish
03:03 we will add more mint leaves in it because it already gives the flavor
03:08 but it will get melt with the cheese so we are just adding a lot of mint leaves
03:12 along with it we will add grated cheese
03:16 keep the flame on low & cover it so that the cheese melts in the steam
03:27 it will take only 3 minutes to be ready to be served

03:35 we will serve it in a plate with mint leaves, the moment it is ready
03:41 so see our cheese is over the mint & over the potato so it is ready
03:49 aaah... the cheese is smelling so good with the mint leaves, amazing
03:57 till the time you will not make it how will you get this flavor
04:00 so turn off the flame and ready to serve which is a party snack or a tiffin snack

05:05 I have boiled the potatoes and not peeled it

05:14 we will cut it into wedges, till the time our pan is getting hot we will put oil in it
05:23 till the time oil is getting hot we will cut the wedges more
05:26 try to boil the potatoes not too much, it should not be too dry or too soft
05:33 if you want you can cut the small pieces of potatoes
05:37 but I personally feel that this type of shape potato looks more attractive in potato wedges

05:47 so the next step what we will do is we will put finely chopped garlic in it

06:01 you can put ketchup or onion garlic sauce in it
06:05 it is your choice, you can put any sauce you like

06:17 and yes we will need a lot of sauce because there is nothing else in it except sauce
06:22 and we don't like the taste of Indian food without spiciness
06:27 so we will add little chilli powder
06:29 if your kids don't eat spicy food then you can put less or don't put
06:35 the best thing about cooking is that it is your creativity that adds to it

06:43 if you want to put chilli sauce then you can put that
06:47 if you want to put garlic then put it or don't put
06:51 so the creativity is yours, basic input is ours
06:55 now we will put the boiled potatoes in it
06:59 there is already a lot of salt in the sauce
07:05 so if you want to put salt on top then put it carefully
07:09 after putting potatoes, stir it well
07:12 we have to cook it till the sauce is completely absorbed by potatoes
07:17 so we can put salt as per our taste
07:21 or else the salty part of the sauce will be less
07:26 till it is cooking, we will prepare the garnish
07:31 we will serve it, we don't have to put much effort
07:35 we will put it in a plate
07:38 and because the color of the dish is important for the appeal of the dish
07:43 so we will garnish it with finely chopped spring onion
07:47 it has been cooked well in 5 to 7 minutes
07:50 if you want to cook it more then cook it more
