At the trailer launch event of her upcoming movie Madgaon Express, Nora Fatehi recalls about a train journey to goa with friends and her traumatizing encounter with a rat while travelling. The artist also shares her experience of working with Kunal Khemu is his first directorial project Madgaon Express.

00:26 Seven years ago, I took my friends to Goa on the train.
00:32 So I guess it's the same train, because it
00:34 goes to Goa from Mumbai.
00:36 And it was my first time going to another city via the train.
00:41 We were super excited.
00:43 My friends were not from here.
00:44 So I was really in that mood of showing off,
00:47 yeah, this is Mumbai, this is Goa.
00:49 So I'm in the train, and we were chilling.
00:53 And randomly, I saw a very big rat right next to my head
00:59 in the train where I was sitting.

01:02 Yes.
01:03 And I have a fear of rats.
01:06 Means like, it's very traumatizing.
01:10 So I screamed, and I started running,
01:12 and I don't know where to go in the train.
01:13 Like, where do you go?
01:14 Do you jump off the train?
01:16 You know?
01:16 It was that bad.
01:18 And my friends, they're like, what is wrong with her?
01:21 And I'm like, ah, screaming, running.
01:23 So then they were looking for me,
01:24 and they found me almost near hanging off the train
01:28 because I was so scared to go back inside the train.
01:31 The train is going, and I'm like--
01:33 Imagine Nora is hanging outside, and a rat comes to see her.
01:36 What happened?
01:37 What happened?
01:39 Yeah, and there was like a good 10 hours left to reach Goa
01:44 by that time.
01:45 So that was the worst 10 hours of my life.
01:47 Exactly.
01:47 I can't even imagine those 10 hours
01:49 how you may have--
01:49 So when I reached Goa, I was like, done.
01:52 Finished.
01:53 Did you ever take a train again after that for Goa?
01:55 I mean, in Maharashtra, yes, but to another city.
01:58 But not that one, because that particularly
02:00 reminds you of that very moment.
02:01 The rats, yeah.
02:02 Nora, one question for you.
02:04 I want to ask you, how was it working
02:05 with Kunal as a director?
02:06 And of course, you've explored the whole comedy
02:08 genre in this one.
02:10 How was that for you?
02:12 It was really-- it was amazing.
02:15 I always knew Kunal was like a fantastic actor.
02:18 And when I seen him direct, I'm like--
02:20 and I tell him all the time, Kunal,
02:22 you are an outstanding director.
02:25 He's so hands on.
02:27 He knows what he wants.
02:28 He has a clear vision.
02:30 And for me, I'm like a director's actor.
02:33 I need to be told what to do.
02:35 Tell me, I'll look at you, and then I'll
02:37 do the same thing on camera.
02:38 There are some directors who really just say, go for it.
02:41 Do whatever you want.
02:42 And you feel lost as an actor.
02:44 But he directs you so well.
02:46 And I learned so much on set as an actor.
02:49 And I would feel really happy.
02:51 And everywhere I go in the industry, I'm like, guys,
02:53 Kunal is the director.
02:54 Trust me.
02:55 He is the director.
02:57 You need to call him for your scripts.
02:58 You need to call him for your projects.
03:00 Because he can get the acting skills out of you.
03:04 And I felt that.
03:05 And when I'm with people like Devindu, Pratik, and Avinash,
03:09 who are actually really, really good actors,
03:11 you feel like tapping into that side of you as an artist.
03:15 So I learned so much on this set.
03:18 What were the challenges that you faced?
03:20 Because you are now stepping into the world of comedy.
03:23 For me, I didn't have any difficulties per se on set.
03:27 I think just day one, I was a little bit nervous.
03:30 Because when I met Devindu, and Pratik, and Avinash,
03:34 I was like, oh my god.
03:35 He's come from Mirzapur, and scam.
03:40 I'm like, oh my god, they're such good actors.
03:42 I felt a little bit out of-- you know
03:44 when you go to high school, and you're
03:46 the new kid in high school?
03:47 I felt like that for some time.
03:49 But I guess after a day or two, I realized he's so funny.
03:54 His humor is like my humor.
03:56 So we clicked really quickly.
03:59 And Pratik and Avinash are so sweet.
04:01 So they didn't make me feel like an outsider or something.
04:04 They really kind of embraced me.
04:06 So I would say from my whole journey here in the industry,
04:12 this film has been one of the best experiences
04:14 I have had on set, hands down.
