00:00 Hi there and welcome back to EdinburghNews.com. I'm Rhoda Morrison, I'm the editor here and I'm going to run through just some of the main headlines from the day so far.
00:09 A couple whose kitchen ceiling collapsed months after they first reported a leak has said that they had a lucky escape.
00:17 The pair were lying in bed back in October when the ceiling in their kitchen of their rented flat caved in, minutes before they were due to get up for work.
00:26 A private school in Edinburgh is planning to create a 3G hockey pitch as part of a makeover of its sporting facilities.
00:35 The Goldenacre Sports Ground hosts George Heriot School's playing fields and plans have now been submitted for a full-sized artificial pitch with LED lights.
00:45 And finally, it's good news for Rebus fans after the BBC announced that the new series, which will reimagine the popular detective as a younger sergeant, is set to hit TV screens this spring.
00:57 Set in Edinburgh and filmed in both the capital and Glasgow, the series will see Outlander star Richard Rankin play the lead role of John Rebus.
