00:00 A family in grief for the sudden loss of their loved one.
00:07 His name was Harry.
00:08 He was my younger brother.
00:09 He's just one year younger than me.
00:15 Police say 31-year-old Harry Chandler was killed in an alleged hit and run in Mount
00:20 Pritchard on Wednesday morning.
00:22 Now the man accused of killing him, 55-year-old John Ung, has been granted bail after his
00:27 lawyer argued that he had strong ties to the community.
00:31 I'm not sure how much trust I could put in this judicial system.
00:33 So like a person is dead and the accused is let go, released on bail.
00:40 Like, it's just unfair.
00:43 John Ung was arrested after police examined CCTV that shows Mr. Chandler seemingly struggling
00:49 to walk up a street.
00:51 Around an hour later, a black vehicle can be seen driving up that same road before a
00:55 loud bang is heard.
00:58 Mr. Ung has also been charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime.
01:02 Police say they have found almost a million dollars worth of cash inside a duffel bag
01:06 inside a chest freezer at his home.
01:09 His lawyer argued that, while unusual, carrying cash at home was not a crime.
01:14 Mr. Ung's release on bail could be delayed because his conditions include surrendering
01:19 his passport, which is currently being held by the Chinese embassy, for a visa application.
