00:00 This next player is someone I think I can return dividends a lot quicker and it's on
00:03 a team where no one is going to look and that's fine because it feels to me and I've said
00:07 this before, I'm going to go shopping in a place called Jamaica Avenue or I'm going to
00:10 go shopping at the big box store mall.
00:13 I grew up showing shopping at Jamaica Avenue.
00:14 I get the same socks, same t-shirts, same everything and I'll get it for a fraction
00:17 of the price.
00:18 Zach Gelof is going to be one of those guys on an Oakland team that could provide some,
00:24 if not a lot of production.
00:26 Joe, thoughts?
00:27 Yeah, no one's talking about him because he plays in Oakland and they're not a good offense,
00:31 but you saw the stats there.
00:32 Two homers, eight runs, a 381 batting average so far at 1268 OPS.
00:37 I know it's only about a week and change here we're talking about, but still it's something
00:40 to notice, especially because he is a player that played 69 games last year at the big
00:43 league level at 14 homers and 14 steals very quietly for the A's that nobody was paying
00:48 attention to.
00:49 Two 67 batting average, but a five Oh four slugging.
00:52 If you look at the track record though, this is a guy with a three 81 career OVP in the
00:56 minor leagues in triple a and a PCL.
00:59 So you take it with a grain of salt in 2023 69 games there as well for a one OVP.
01:05 So he has on base skills.
01:07 He's got speed, he's got pop, he's got an everyday job.
01:10 Zach Gelof might be one of, I think the best kept secrets in fantasy baseball right now.
01:14 And in terms of ADP, this is a player that you can get dirt cheap.
01:19 I mean, he is right now one 43 overall.
01:22 You want to talk about, you know, maybe you don't feel good about Nico Horner as your
01:25 second baseman, or maybe you don't feel great about making investments early on, let's say
01:31 Ozzie Alves and Marcus Simian get away from you or you don't want to pay that price.
01:35 And then maybe that middle tier gets away from you and you're looking to kind of make
01:37 up grounds that Gallop, I think is a great way to make up that ground at second base
01:41 or at middle infield to again, just because he doesn't plan a great team and a great offense,
01:45 kind of like Lane Thomas earlier, we talked about, don't dismiss the stats.
01:49 The stats are good.
01:50 And I think this is another player where having a strong spring matters because he isn't a
01:55 guy that's played a lot in the major leagues.
01:57 So you want to see him continue to show that he is prepared and able to hit major league
02:01 pitching.
02:02 And so far Zach Gelof hasn't given you any reason to believe he can't do that again in
