How the Landslip in Oakengates is effecting Rail Users between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton

00:14 No, I had to go to the hospital with my partner this morning and then she had to go to work

00:28 I work in Wolverhampton so I get the train some days and it's a pain.

00:34 I've just paid £9 for a ticket from Wolverhampton to Telford and no one's checked my ticket

00:39 so I might as well not have.

00:43 It's my birthday today so we're just going to Birmingham for a bit of like, just my friends

00:46 come down from Lincoln to stay with me.

00:48 We're going to Birmingham just for a day out really.

00:52 Obviously it's quite inconvenient because I did check beforehand and it did say obviously

00:56 the weekend they were not running but it did say the trains were running today so then

01:01 to obviously have just arrived and see it's rail replacement and it's going to take double

01:06 the time it's not great really.

01:08 I know a lot of people who obviously commute into Birmingham and I don't know like if they're

01:14 being able to work remote or if they still have to go in and I know like the cost of

01:19 like taxis and stuff from Telford to Birmingham is a lot of money.

01:23 So I've come from Albrighton today.

01:25 How was the rail replacement service?

01:27 It was good, it was good.

01:28 It actually turned up to our rail replacement spot.

01:30 I know in the past I've taken it and they haven't actually turned up to our Albrighton

01:33 one they've turned up on the high street so it was good for it to actually turn up.

01:37 I mean I'm learning to drive at the moment just in case these things come up in the future

01:42 but the landslide slip wasn't really a thing the trains could have predicted so.

01:47 It will because I work in Birmingham so I do have to get the train every day so I've

01:51 already come up with, I'm on holiday this week so I've luckily come up with a plan,

01:56 B plan and a C plan to get into work for the next week or month after this week.
