Shrewsbury Sports Village consultation opens
A public consultation about building two new swimming pools, and enhancing fitness and leisure opportunities at Shrewsbury Sports Village, has been launched by Shropshire Council

00:09 but also we've got a multi-activity centre, there's also a cycle track around the back
00:15 there. Big changes are afoot for Shrewsbury Sports Village. There's a consultation coming
00:20 up which we'd like you to take part in. I'll tell you more about it. A while ago we'd been
00:31 talking about how important swimming was in the county and what we lack in the county
00:36 of Shropshire is a competition pool. So on Friday the 15th of March, online consultation
00:43 will open about the changes we're planning for this venue. The plan is eight lane, 25
00:49 metre competition pool, a smaller studio training pool, there'll be all new soft play areas,
00:55 a brand new 130 fitness station gym. There's going to be lots of changes going on here
01:01 and we want you to get involved. Go onto the Shropshire Council website and look for the
01:05 consultation for the sports village. Have your say in what facilities we are proposing.
