00:00 So Claire Stewart is the chair here at Special INS. What does the charity do?
00:05 So the charity, the main ethos of what we do is to create a safe and welcoming space
00:11 for families with children with disabilities and life-limiting conditions. We pay a big
00:17 part in making sure these families can make some truly special memories with their siblings
00:22 as well as the rest of their family.
00:24 And what will this centre do?
00:26 So the centre that we've just created is specifically for PMLD and SLD children, so children with
00:32 real profound and multiple disabilities. They are the most vulnerable children in society,
00:37 particularly in the local area. And we know first hand because all of the trustees of
00:42 the Special INS have profound children themselves. So we've created this space to give them a
00:48 truly accessible, inclusive and safe environment. Somewhere where they can come to be stimulated,
00:54 somewhere they can come and make friends, whether that's the siblings or the children,
00:59 and whether the families find equal peers here, where they can rely on and build a network
01:05 of support.
01:06 And if people want to donate to support the work, how can they do that?
01:10 So we're always grateful for any kind of support we can get. So you can donate through our
01:17 Facebook page, there is a donate button. There is equally a donate button on our website
01:21 page as well.
