01:15 Known for her public-facing persona, Middleton was last widely seen at Christmas Eve mass

01:22 The palace had issued a statement in January saying Middleton is unlikely to return to

01:28 However, the last-minute and seemingly vague announcement, coupled with Prince William

01:37 godfather, didn't quiet any speculation on the princess' whereabouts.

01:46 supposedly taken by Prince William this year of Middleton with their three kids.
01:50 But photo agencies quickly deemed the picture manipulated.
01:54 The princess then issued an apology for the altered image, which had undergone 17 edits.
01:59 Now this, as well as two grainy paparazzi shots of the princess supposedly with her
