ಮೇಲ್ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಮತ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಕಳೆದೊಂದು ದಶಕದಿಂದ ಹಲವು ವಿಧೇಯಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಗೀಕಾರ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸರ್ಕಸ್‌ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಎ ಸರಕಾರ ಇದೀಗ ನಿರಾಳವಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭೆಯ ದ್ವೈವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಎ ಕೂಟದ 11 ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಅವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಸತ್‌ನ ಮೇಲ್ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದ ಬಹುಮತ ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಎ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಸಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
