00:00 Spring is here and the Easter holidays are fast approaching but what is there
00:07 to do in London? Well today I've come to Surrey Dock Farm, an escape in the city
00:14 and a perfect place to take young ones or old ones to see some animals in the
00:19 capital. If you're lucky you may be able to spot some spring chicks just in time
00:24 for Easter. The Surrey Dock Farm is located near Surrey Quays on the bank of
00:30 the River Thames with a great view of the Canary Wharf skyline. It's free to
00:35 enter and is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is home to pigs, donkeys,
00:40 goats, chickens and other small animals as well.

00:56 The farm offers a 'meet the small animal' sessions from 12.30 to 1 p.m. on
01:03 Saturdays for just £2 per person and this gives you a chance to get up
01:07 close to the rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and chickens. Visitors can also find the
01:13 farm shop. This is run by volunteers and is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
01:18 to 4 p.m. every day. You can visit the farm shop to purchase eggs, meat, plants,
01:23 gifts and more. You can also buy a £1 food bag for the goats and have a
01:28 little feed for them yourself.
01:39 This little farmyard really does feel like an escape in the city and could be
01:43 a great thing to do during the Easter holidays but if that's not to your fancy,
01:48 there are plenty of other things on offer as well. Sticking with animals,
01:55 London Zoo is hosting a Zoo-normous egg hunt where partakers are sent on a
02:00 mission to crack codes and find eggs around the park. Another fun day out for
02:06 the families. For those looking for something a little more lively, Riverside
02:11 Restaurant Fume in Battersea is celebrating with four days of Italian
02:16 style bottomless brunch plus a homemade chocolate Easter egg that you can smash
02:21 and reveals a prize.
02:25 But if you're just looking to grab some grub and fancy heading to a pub, then the
02:31 Plymsouth in Finsbury Park is definitely one to visit over the bank holiday
02:35 weekend. It's an old-school pub with modern food and supposedly boasts the
02:39 best burger in town. I'll be heading there for a video to review that shortly.
