00:00 >> Sunday, March 31st is Easter, so we brought in Carol Mackey to help us make our Easter
00:06 table extra special for family and friends.
00:09 Good morning.
00:10 >> Good morning.
00:11 >> All right.
00:12 This is a great time for people to start getting into also spring entertaining, looking at
00:16 different things, but it comes down to Easter Sunday, making sure not just the bonnet's
00:21 on, but the table looks good.
00:23 >> That's right.
00:24 I'm going to show you a few DIYs that won't break the bank and some creative, easy recipes.
00:30 >> Yeah.
00:31 And I want to start down here with the flowers.
00:32 Can we start there?
00:33 >> Sure, yeah.
00:34 >> That looks awesome with the carrots in there.
00:35 >> So, you know, just flowers from the grocery store, but I put carrots with the greens on
00:39 them in there to add a little touch of whimsy to your flower arrangement.
00:44 >> I think that's great.
00:45 >> Yeah, so it's very simple, and you can get all at the grocery store.
00:47 >> There you go.
00:48 I like that.
00:49 Okay.
00:50 So, I have my placemats here, which -- can you guess what those are?
00:54 >> Those look like they are turf.
00:56 >> They are turf samples.
00:57 So I encourage people to just look around the house, and you'll never, you know, know
01:02 what you might find that, you know, might make something extra special on your table.
01:07 So I had a whole box of samples.
01:08 So those are my placemats.
01:09 >> I like that.
01:10 >> Yeah.
01:11 >> And, you know, you could actually probably go to the turf store right now and ask them
01:13 for some samples, and they'll cut them, give them to you, get rid of them.
01:16 >> Yeah, totally, yeah.
01:17 >> So I like that.
01:18 >> So, I have my napkin rings.
01:19 They're bunny ears, and napkin rings can be rather costly, especially if you have to buy,
01:25 you know, a lot of them.
01:26 >> Yeah.
01:27 >> So what I did here -- we may have some pictures that I took at home.
01:30 I took the cardboard center of a paper towel roll, and then -- there you go.
01:36 Then I cut that up into sections.
01:38 And then from there, I took some burlap ribbon, and I glued that onto those, and I cut out
01:46 the little shape of an ear for the bunny, and then I glued them, and then I held it
01:51 together with the clothes pins until they were dry.
01:55 >> Okay.
01:56 >> And then I just glued it onto the ring.
01:57 >> I like that.
01:58 >> Yeah.
01:59 >> That would be a great little craft for the kids and everybody to do at home together.
02:01 >> Oh, yes.
02:02 My kids used to -- if they watch this, they're going to laugh.
02:04 They used to craft all the time.
02:06 They're like, "Mom, do you have --" they're 27.
02:08 Do you have to keep saying that?
02:09 >> I like it.
02:10 >> But I still do.
02:11 >> So --
02:12 >> Okay, and then our candles.
02:13 They're just dollar store candles.
02:16 I think they were 98 cents, actually, and I glued a little ribbon and then a faux flower
02:21 on that.
02:22 >> I like that.
02:23 That's cute.
02:24 >> Yeah, beautiful.
02:25 >> That's good.
02:26 Our name plates, that's really cute, too.
02:27 >> Yes.
02:28 I love place cards.
02:29 And I remember my nephews came one time.
02:31 It was Christmas, and I had place cards on the table.
02:33 They were probably like 7, 8, and 10, and they got the biggest kick out of it.
02:38 And yeah.
02:39 >> It makes you feel important.
02:40 >> It does.
02:41 It does.
02:42 >> Oh, my goodness.
02:43 >> Yeah.
02:44 >> And then if you have that extra person who comes by, you run to the back, and you
02:45 can put people together or not together.
02:46 >> And also, where did you find these at?
02:47 >> Those, you know, I just got them at the Target bin.
02:48 You can get them at the dollar store, Amazon.
02:49 Super cheap, you know, and just adds, you know, a little bit of whimsy to the table.
02:50 >> I like it.
02:51 All right.
02:52 >> And then our food.
02:53 >> Yes.
02:54 >> Okay, so the first one is the appetizer, and that is a smoked salmon on a cracker,
02:55 smoked salmon dip.
02:56 So what I did was just in the food processor, threw in the smoked salmon, cream cheese.
02:57 >> Oops, sorry.
02:58 >> And then I put it in the freezer.
02:59 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
03:00 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
03:01 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
03:02 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
03:26 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
03:52 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:21 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:22 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:23 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:24 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:25 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:26 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:27 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:28 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:29 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:30 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:31 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:32 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:33 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:34 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:35 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:36 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:37 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:38 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
04:39 >> And then you put it in the freezer.
