00:00 Congratulations on this film. We talked about this a little bit last night, but how is this film
00:04 bringing back the nostalgia of Ghostbusters? And we're back at the firehouse, but what are you
00:08 excited about? I mean, just the, like, the original Ghostbusters, like, being a part of it, I think,
00:13 like, adds a, like, a certain kind of levity to everything because they're just still so sharp and
00:20 so funny and, like, they bring their brand of humor that I think is so iconic and, like, really
00:27 helps the movie shine. I mean, what I think is really special about this film is that it,
00:32 it doesn't just, it has so much new stuff. There's so many new characters, new bad guys,
00:39 new gear, new people, new story. Like, there's just so much new to this film, but I like that
00:47 all of that is happening in the Ghostbusters home base. It brings it back to New York where it was
00:53 created, the home. I like that the OGs are kind of just involved throughout the film. So we have
01:00 so much that, obviously, it's Ghostbusters called back to the originals, but it's fun that
01:07 all of this new stuff lives in that world. I was really excited to see that Slimer's back.
01:12 He's one of my favorites. Me too. What was it like working alongside Slimer this time around?
01:20 He was so cool. Yeah, I mean, like, there's so, like, that, like, a lot of that was practical.
01:26 So, like, being able to, like, see the puppet and everything was, like, really awesome because it's
01:31 tangible, like, you could touch it and, like, obviously, the stuff, like, flies through walls.
01:35 That was all CG. But, like, just being able to, like, be around the, what are you on?
01:40 I'm thinking of Slimer's butt. I don't know why. I'm so sorry. His little butt is so funny.
01:46 Yeah, his design is so good, like, his teeth and everything. So, yeah, I don't know. It was
01:52 really cool being able to, like, have that scene. And also the first thing we shot for the thing,
01:57 for the movie was, was that scene, was the Slimer's, the first Slimer scene.
02:01 So starting it off with, like, that was really fun.
02:04 What was the highlight of working on set for both of you guys? I'm sure there was a lot of
02:08 pretend acting against some of these new ghosts. What was, like, just one highlight,
02:13 one memory for you guys? For whatever reason, like, the first thing that came to my head is,
02:18 like, do you remember when, like, at the end, like, there's, you know, like, people taking
02:22 photos and stuff like that. And, like, we had those, like, fake flashes that went off. Like,
02:26 there were these, like, fake paparazzi cameras. Oh. And, like, we literally just followed around
02:31 Carrie and Paul being, like, oh, like, and I had a microphone. Yeah, yeah. And, like,
02:34 we kind of had a microphone, like, it was really, like, we were, like, TMZing them. And, like,
02:39 that was insanely funny. I have a video of that. Me too. It's such a funny video.
02:44 Yeah, no, we, I don't know. We had fun here. No, it was genuinely so fun. And being able to,
02:50 like, also, like, like, just Ernie Hudson is, like, one of the sweetest, best people. And so
02:55 just being able to, like, chill with him and, like, sharing his stories. And, like, he's such
03:02 a veteran actor. Like, he's just worked so hard in his life. And, like, I don't know. He's just,
03:07 like, really great. And, you know, getting to know Kumail and, like, becoming friends with,
03:14 like, James and Kumail and, like, the new cast was, like, so incredible. And, like, they're,
03:19 you know, we're all close friends now. And I think a lot of my favorite memories come from
03:25 we had a big old cast tent that everybody would just sit in between takes. And I mean,
03:30 these setups take ages. So we'd all be in there for, like, 20, 30 minutes at a time.
03:36 - Just talking. - Or, like, hours. And my favorite is
03:40 whenever Dan would be on set and he'd just sit and he'd come into the tent and then he'd sit
03:45 there and he'd just tell us all, like, crazy stories. And that was -
03:49 - He's so, so fun. - My favorite.
03:52 - Very charismatic. Also well-dressed last night, by the way.
03:54 - So well-dressed. - Yeah.
03:55 - And so, so good in the movie. Like, such a good, he just was so, yeah.
04:01 - His interactions with everybody in the film was so sweet.
04:03 - Yeah. - I really liked it.
04:04 - Amazing, yeah. - McKenna, are you a Stranger Things fan?
04:08 - Yeah, of course. Who isn't? Who doesn't love Stranger Things? I, before I worked with him,
04:14 I was shooting at the same lot as them during season two. I was shooting The Haunting of
04:21 Hill House and all the kids were like, "We're shooting across from Stranger Things." And,
04:25 like, the kids would, like, be like, "Oh my God, their lunchroom is next to ours." And be,
04:29 like, so stoked. It was so funny. - That's true.
04:31 - Did you guys meet then or did you - - No.
04:33 - No, we met for Ghostbusters. - Yeah.
04:35 - And, like, I try to think, you've worked with a few people.
04:39 - I feel like I work with the cast of Stranger Things, like, it's, like, Pokemon that I'm
04:43 collecting or something. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally.
04:45 - Like, it's, it's like - - You worked with Daker,
04:47 and then you worked with - - I worked with Daker.
04:48 - Kara? Did you work with Kara? - Yes.
04:50 - Yeah, yeah. - To play my mom.
04:51 - Yes, I worked with her. Daker, her. - You gotta keep collecting them.
04:57 - Oh my God, I, no, no, there is more. - Finn.
05:00 - Me. - Finn, you.
05:02 - Yeah, you worked with Finn there. - There's -
05:04 - Not Gaten, you were gonna do something with Gaten eventually.
05:06 - Maybe Gaten. - Yeah.
05:08 - There's something else that I'm missing, but it is -
05:12 - There's someone there. - Oh, the man who plays your father.
05:14 - Oh, Ted, or Ted is the character, but Joe, Joe Crest.
05:17 - I worked with him twice. - Yeah, I love Joe.
05:19 - You really rack him up. - Yeah, I'm like -
05:20 - He's racking him up. - You're a valid point here.
05:22 - Yes. - My gosh, I just think it's so fun
05:24 to see, like, Finn, you're helming this new generation of Ghostbusters, and then Joseph
05:28 Quinn's doing - - Yeah, that's his four, yeah.
05:31 - And then Millie with Damsel and all the incredible films that she's putting out.
05:34 Just how proud are you to see this generation of just all of your friends just killing it
05:38 in Hollywood? - It's the best.
05:40 It's like, you know, to be a part of, like, yeah, like a bunch of, like, just really young,
05:48 great, like, actors and artists is, like, I don't know.
05:52 I'm very - you know, we're very lucky to be a part of this, like, new, like, generation,
05:56 and being able to, yeah, be in, like, really fun, cool stuff, and yeah.
06:02 - I know last night you said that you were a little bit conflicted, maybe, about how
06:07 season - how season five ends, how things wrap up, but how do you want Stranger Things
06:11 to go? - I think that, like, I would love, like,
06:15 a Lord of the Rings happy ending.
06:17 I truly - I haven't even read the last, like, they don't have the last - like, they're waiting
06:24 to, like, give the cast the last episode, so, like, we've read up to, you know, the
06:28 second to last episode, so we're all, like, on the edge of our seats, like, finding out
06:31 what the ending is, and I don't think - - Do y'all, like, get the scripts as they
06:35 write them, or - - We have the first seven, so - and usually
06:39 it's, like, as they write them, but, like, because of, like, what's called - like, they
06:44 had a lot more time between four and five, so they could, like, fully write a lot of
06:48 the stuff, and so now we know what happens, like, to the - almost to the last episode.
06:54 So I'm really excited.
06:55 - McKenna, what do you want to see happen as a fan?
06:58 - I think Mike should die.
07:00 - I was literally about to say that, yeah.
07:02 No, I think that he should be, like, dragged to the upside down, and we leave him there.
07:07 - And slime.
07:07 - And, yeah, pretty much, basically.
07:12 Basically, that's my dream.
07:13 - With Slimer coming in at the end of the episode, I think -
07:16 - And that's - no, no, it's a dream.
07:17 It's a dream.
07:18 The whole - the whole end is a dream, and, like, Trevor wakes up, and he's like, "I
07:20 just had this dream about - " - It was so strange.
07:23 - Yeah, it was so strange-er.
07:24 - Things.
07:25 - Things?
07:26 - Yeah.
07:27 - That was so fun.
07:29 Thank you so much for your time.
07:30 - Thank you, yeah.
