00:00 My name is Victor. I've been running the pet shop with my wife since about 1982, I believe,
00:08 we opened our first shop. We both worked in London and wanted to work for ourselves,
00:15 so that's where it all began. And then we worked in that shop for 21 years. And then
00:23 during that time, we opened this shop in Sittingbourne. So we've been in Faversham,
00:28 Sittingbourne, and now we're just opening Raynham. So that's really kind of a broad picture of what
00:33 we're doing. We have a good staff with good knowledge, and we do actually train our staff
00:39 as well, put them on training courses, so they've all got a basic knowledge of animals, animal care.
00:44 And I think you can't beat that. Some of the bigger stores, I don't like to knock the opposition,
00:53 but they get such a throughput of staff that they don't get a good staff with good knowledge.
01:00 And we have to be niche as well. The grocers take most of their trade. Well,
01:08 they're the biggest competitors, believe it or not. So the big supermarkets sell loads and loads
01:14 of food. So we have to be niche. I think you have to live with the times. And social media
01:23 is big now. So we have to show that our business is here and wanting to help. And we want people
01:32 to come back. But social media is massive now. And I think we're really getting to grips with it.
