The KTM Cup, previously known as the KTM RC Cup, hosted its first round at Kari Motor Speedway just recently. The cup is aimed to teach those who own a KTM how to properly ride on track while implying the correct techniques. Leading the training was Mr. Emmanuel Jebaraj, a huge name in the Indian motorsports industry.
The KTM Cup is divided into three categories: Professional, Amateur, and Women. The top-three from each category are given a fully paid contract to train with the RedBull KTM MotoGP team at the RedBull Ring in Austria! Now who would want to miss that!

00:00 Welcome to DRIVESPARK, I'm Vedant Jahari and today we are at Karim Hora Speedway for the
00:12 KTM Cup Season 2.
00:14 Now this is the opening round of the RC Cup, they have a lot of rounds spread out in the
00:18 next couple of months and finally the final round comes back to Karim Hora Speedway where
00:24 the finale will take place and the lucky winner will be sent to Austria to train.
00:29 So now what is the KTM RC Cup?
00:32 Well, it's basically a platform for budding riders and professional riders to showcase
00:37 their skills and take it a level further.
00:40 The winner of the KTM Cup gets to go to Austria to train with the MotoGP team, the Red Bull
00:46 MotoGP team in the Red Bull Ring.
00:48 Now that is a super, super great opportunity for those who are looking to actually improve
00:53 themselves.
00:54 This is the first season where KTM has actually differentiated between the amateur and the
00:57 pros and the women.
00:59 So there are three categories right now.
01:02 The media category is completely separate, it's not really a full on and it's not a set
01:07 category but the three main are the amateur, professional and women's category.
01:11 So the amateur category is for those who don't have any track experience or who don't have
01:15 any national motorcycle racing experience.
01:18 The professional category is for those who compete in the INMRC and who are regular competitors
01:24 there.
01:25 The women's category are solely for women looking to get this opportunity but the women
01:30 can also compete in the professional or the amateur category separately.
01:33 So in terms of safety, KTM makes sure everything is top notch, right from your riding gear
01:39 to your motorcycle to the track safety, everything is there.
01:44 For practice sessions, we have a neat rider showing the unexperienced people how to ride
01:52 around the track, what the racing line is, where your entry point is, where your apex
01:56 is and where your exit is.
01:57 Then on top of that, KTM has given us the RC390, the new gen RC390 to ride and in a
02:05 couple of hours I'll be riding.
02:07 I've never ridden the new RC390 so for me it'll be a great experience because I own
02:12 the first gen RC, I've never ridden any gen after that and this will be the first time
02:16 so extremely excited for that.
02:18 I don't know what's in store.
02:19 But yeah, for the others, it's definitely a platform to build themselves and to showcase
02:24 what they have.
02:25 So the lead trainer for this event is Emmanuel Jeberrage, a very very famous name in the
02:47 motorsports industry in India, not only in India but also he's competed internationally
02:51 and won a few awards there as well.
02:53 All in all, this was the KTM RC Cup Season 2, stay tuned to Drivespark for more updates
02:59 throughout the season.
03:00 My name is Vedant Johari, signing out.
