00:00 Let me tell you, the European auto sector is really heating up right now as the continent
00:05 works to say goodbye to petrol combustion engines and hello to all things electric.
00:10 And for European manufacturers, well they are fighting to try and keep their market
00:15 share and that is because they are dealing with something they haven't really seen before.
00:20 That is Chinese manufacturers arriving here and trying to muscle in on their home turf.
00:26 This is the latest entrant in that battle, I've been given its set of keys, let's take
00:31 a drive.
00:33 So this is the Xpeng G9, it is the launch model for Xpeng's first foray into Germany,
00:41 Europe's largest auto market and of course home to some of the most well known household
00:46 brands of European automakers.
00:48 But the company says that their car is different, they call this whole area the smart cockpit.
00:54 It is teeming with technology, everything from cameras all over the vehicle to help
00:59 with safety and navigation, voice command and even two screens, that's right, one for
01:05 the driver and one for the passenger.
01:09 It really does feel like driving a car from the future.
