00:00 And it's all good. So you want to grab your jersey because it's time for Cracker Jacks,
00:04 peanuts, popcorn and hot dogs at Chase Field as Diamondbacks opening weekend kicks off tonight.
00:10 So let's head live to the ballpark and see what is in store for the fans with
00:14 and the myth, the legend, so Mr. Derek Hall. Derek, how are you?
00:19 I'm good, Brad. Hey, I got an idea in the basket D-backs tickets, right? Because we're actually
00:26 playing on Easter here this Easter Sunday. So don't forget that. I like that. There you go.
00:30 All right. Easter's all set. But let's talk about this because actually opening day kicks off
00:35 tonight and it goes all weekend, which is really nice. You got a lot planned for the fans, don't
00:39 you? We do indeed. Yeah, we've got a four game series against the Rockies starting tonight with
00:45 opening night and we go through Sunday and then we have three games against the Yankees that people
00:50 are excited about as well. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. But it all starts here tonight.
00:53 It's really about rolling out the carpet for this upcoming season. Whereas tomorrow night will be
00:57 more about the celebration for what we achieved last season. But opening night, as you know, Brad,
01:01 better than anybody is so special when we have the flyover and you have the pageantry of the red,
01:06 white and blue bunting. We'll have a special first pitch with Kurt Warner, Hall of Famer,
01:10 throwing it to Randy Johnson, another Hall of Famer, two different sports. And we just love
01:14 opening day, the excitement, all the energy in the ballpark. Yeah. You know, it's also pretty
01:18 cool too, is that you make sure the fans are first out there because I'm looking around right now and
01:22 I'm seeing the white in the stands, but that's something special for 40,000 fans that come
01:28 through and that is a rally towel already. You got it. Yeah, we've got 40,000 rally towels in here.
01:35 When you see those fans waving that red flag, a red towel, like the playoffs and the World Series,
01:40 it really makes quite a visual. And in addition to that, you'll see these little white cards on
01:44 the seats. Those are Advantage members or season ticket holders. We call them Advantage members.
01:49 They have a little code that they can scan and it's a special video thanking them for
01:52 their support. But it's very special. We welcome back all our fans, not only season ticket holders,
01:56 but the casual fans that are going to be here because they love baseball. Yeah. You know,
01:59 Derek, I love that when we met, actually it's been since the Diamondbacks have come, you know,
02:04 have been here, we've known each other. And I think what's so amazing, it starts from the top
02:08 up all the way down about appreciating the fans and our season ticket holders. And you make sure
02:13 that experience is for ticket holders or non-ticket holders to make sure that the families can have a
02:17 good time. So there's a lot of changes happening out there, especially with food and places to
02:21 watch the game now. Yeah, thank you. And it's been great knowing you and our friendship is wonderful.
02:28 I think when it comes to the fans, we also have that special relationship and friendship as well.
02:32 But we make sure our tickets are still the most affordable in all of baseball. Hard to believe,
02:36 but we are. We have like 40 new food items. You mentioned it. We have like street tacos this year
02:40 and tri-tip sandwiches that we haven't had. The churro dog has its own headquarters, its own stand
02:46 now. But in addition to that, we have a brand new sound system for its first year. We have brand new
02:50 lights that are sports lights. They change colors. You can see the red, the teal, all part of that
02:54 in-game experience. And I think that our experience is the best in all of baseball. And Brad, as you
02:58 know, it's everything from affordability to cleanliness to safety. You get all of that here
03:03 at every fan. In fact, we have a philosophy, one fan at a time. So every fan is as special as any
03:09 other. Okay. And Derek, can we do something that is definitely important to our winning
03:16 this season? And I think you guys need to do it a little bit more. And that is schedule concerts
03:21 during the season because we know what happened last year. They had to actually move things
03:24 around because we made it to the playoffs. So I think we make it to the World Series.
03:28 Let's plan a concert, maybe Darius Rucker or somebody like right during that time of the
03:34 World Series so we can be in it. We have to move things around. I love it. And I'm superstitious.
03:40 I think we do it again. Everything we did last year, we do this year. Let's go ahead and schedule
03:44 those late October concerts so we have to boot them. I love it. Okay. Tickets still available
03:49 for two nights game in the. We still have some available, but I'd say hurry up because we expect
03:56 to sell out. So hurry up and get those tickets. And while you're online, make sure at D-Backs.com
04:01 you look at our promotional schedule. I think it's the best one we've ever had, Brad. I love it.
04:04 Yep. Especially the bobblehead nights. I'm looking for those though. Derek, thank you very much for
04:08 joining us. We appreciate it. As he said, head over to the D-Backs website right there on the screen
04:14 or you can head over to azdailymix.com to find out more information for it. So hopefully we do
04:19 some really late October concerts. That's what got us there.
