Indian 101 Scout came as a surprise as we were faced with a name rescued from the legendary model marketed between 1928-1931. Now, it returns to the market in 2025, incarnated in this new generation and as a very special version.
It is based on the Indian Sports Scout , but gains its own features that catapult it to a higher level in terms of sporting performance and why not say it, making it hands down the best Indian Sports Scout in history. .
New engine with sportier performance for Indian 101 Scout
Like the rest of the family, it benefits from a new engine called the SpeedPlus 1250, a liquid-cooled V-twin that increases its displacement to 1250 cc (previously 1130 cc), but unlike its siblings, in this case, it increases its performance. Performance increased to 82 kW, 110 hp (4 hp more than the others) and a maximum torque of 109 Nm, which is 1 more than its siblings.
Compared to the Sport Scout, with which it also shares the new multi-tube steel chassis, there is no significant change in the remaining data in terms of seat height (654 mm) or dry weight (240 kg, 1 more).
What is interesting about this version is how different it is not only from its siblings, but also from the specialized motorcycle segment itself, where it is not very common to practice such a sporty profession.
In addition to improving the performance of the V-twin engine, the brand has also installed and added parts that fully enhance the sportier appearance. This mainly happens in two aspects:
First of all, the Indian 101 Scout features a fully adjustable 43 mm inverted fork with 150 mm of travel, and this is combined with a fully adjustable dual rear shock absorber with separate reservoirs, 76 mm of travel; This ensures better behavior and more driving possibilities.
By relying on such a prestigious supplier as Brembo, great effort has also been made on the brakes, and the real improvement is found at the front, with two 320 mm discs and two 4-piston radially anchored calipers promising superior braking capacity.
The 2025 Indian 101 Scout is offered in a single trim level called Maximum Limited+Technology; so this version already comes standard with LED lights, traction control, cruise control, a USB charging port and three riding modes (Sport, Standard and Tour) including smart key, a circular TFT touchscreen with Ride Command connectivity system, Built-in GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, configurable times, and itinerary statistics are added.
It comes in two exclusive color options: Metallic Sunset Red with Graphics and Metallic Ghost White with Graphics.
