Welsh passengers have been warned of disruption across the network due to train drivers’ strikes taking place in England from Thursday 4th until Saturday 6th April.

00:00 Passengers travelling from Cardiff to parts of the south of England have been warned of
00:06 disruptions due to industrial action from the AdSlef Union.
00:11 Train drivers will go on strike on Thursday until Saturday with a number of trains cancelled
00:15 across the network.
00:18 Great Western Railway said that no trains will run between Reading and London throughout
00:21 the walkout, meaning trains from Cardiff to London will be heavily disrupted, with the
00:25 train lines saying that Saturday especially will be a difficult travel day.
00:30 There will also be no Avanti West Coast trains running across North Wales into England at
00:34 all on Friday.
00:38 Direct trains between Swansea and London have been cancelled, so passengers would need to
00:42 change at Newport to travel to Birmingham and then change again to get to London Euston,
00:47 adding a number of hours to the journey.
00:51 Transport for Wales have said their services are not directly impacted by the industrial
00:54 action, but services will more than likely be busier than usual.
