00:04 for the two International Friendly Games in Incheon Sports Complex this Friday night and April 8.

00:13 The Philippine Women's National Football Team played three games in the two International Friendly Games

00:21 against South Korea this evening and on Monday in Incheon Sports Complex.

00:26 The Philippine Women's National Football Team is made up of 20 players in the official lineup of Philippine's head coach Mark Torcaso

00:31 who is formed by veteran players and young booters from the U17 and U20 teams.

00:37 In a media interview on Wednesday, Torcaso said that he has been through a lot of hardships in the past few years

00:44 and that he is now ready to play for the country to make our country stronger.

00:48 Yeah, we're expecting a very tough opponent.

00:51 And as I said before, we want to continue building and playing against strong opponents

00:57 because we want to bridge the gap between the other top Asian teams in particular.

01:02 So for us to become a better team collectively but also better players in regards to their development and their progress,

01:10 we want to be challenged against those teams and we want to bridge that gap.

01:13 In February, the Philippines joined the Pinatar Cup where they lost to Scotland and Slovenia

01:21 and lost in an exhibition match against Finland.

01:25 Even though they still haven't won the title they're hoping for,

01:28 Torcaso and the Philippines are now building on their experience and new experiences

01:33 to be able to compete in the next international tournaments.

01:37 It was very important for us to continue to build as a national team

01:41 and we believe that playing against top European teams would help us continue to grow as a team.

01:48 Hopefully we carry that on into what's going to be two good games against Korea

01:54 and carry on a little bit more on that discipline, defending,

01:59 and slowly transition into what we can do in possession in the future.
