MP pledges to see what can be done to mitigate flooding in Westbury

00:00 Hello, it's Daniel Kievczynski here in Westbury and although my focus has been on creating

00:07 a caucus of 37 members of parliament who have the River Severn flowing through their constituencies

00:13 so that we can proactively, collectively lobby the government for the 500 million that we

00:18 are seeking to tame the River Severn, that has been a priority. But here today in Westbury

00:24 I have heard from residents that the Westbury Brook is flooding as well, affecting their

00:30 homes here in Westbury. So I shall be contacting Mark Barrow from the River Severn Partnership

00:35 at Shropshire Council to convey those concerns to him and see what we can do collectively

00:42 with the Environment Agency to try to mitigate the flooding here in Westbury. Thank you.
