00:00 Jess, Dave has said back-to-back titles but this one was a bit of hard work out here in Adelaide wasn't it?
00:05 Oh definitely I think I was saying to my dad and my agent before the race this is the most stressful one you run all year so yeah I'm just so proud of how I executed and just stayed so calm out there and enjoyed it like it really is way more fun when you just relax.
00:21 Now this time last year we were chatting after another national title you've added another one to it you've now gone through a whole cycle though being back in Australia after a long time in the US how are you enjoying it? Has it been different? Are you getting some different enjoyment out of the sport back in Australia?
00:35 Definitely I love it I think it's so nice to see all the young kids on the sideline and be relatable to them like I was the same I was standing there waiting for autographs when I was a kid so it's really refreshing for us who spend most of our time overseas to come home and realise like you guys are right behind us all the time.
00:51 Now look there's an incredible depth at the moment in our middle distance and even our distance ranks in Australia right up to the marathon and the women where do you see yourself in that Paris preparation with that 1500 and the 5000 metres what's best for you and how do you plan for that from now until Paris?
01:05 Yeah I was keeping both options open as a backup but now that I have that done as long as everything's formalised at the end of this weekend I'm a 1500 metre runner from here on out this year.
01:15 Look that sounds great to us because you showed there what sort of class you've got whether it is going to the front or kicking it down Jess Hale your Australian back to back 1500 metre champion.
01:24 Thank you.
01:25 Thanks.
