00:07The first 8A game under head coach Kaelin DeBoer had a really good turnout.

00:21The offense and defense were completely on different teams.
00:25Offense took away the victory.
00:27Will, I know it's hard to take necessarily things away from a spring game, but
00:31what were some things that stood out to you about what you saw?
00:34I thought the running backs played really well.
00:36They ran aggressive.
00:37They hit the holes, spoke with Tyler Booker after the game, and
00:40he was so encouraged by the way the running backs just pounded the holes.
00:44Just how confident, in turn,
00:46it makes the line to know that the running backs are gonna deliver.
00:49I thought they ran hard.
00:51Jed Miller won the MVP of the game, and
00:54Richard Young was another guy who just ran really angry.
00:58Yeah.
00:59And they broke off a number of long gains, scored a couple of touchdowns, and
01:03goal-to-go situations.
01:04That was a position group that really stuck out to me.
01:07What about Jeremy Bernard?
01:09He was a guy that stuck out as well.
01:10He had three catches for 122 yards.
01:14What did you see from him, and
01:15what is he gonna kind of add to this room as a transfer from Washington?
01:19Yeah, he's one of, like you mentioned, Blake,
01:20one of those Washington guys that follows Kaelin DeBoer.
01:23In this new era, you're gonna have those types of guys.
01:25When you have a coaching change,
01:26you're gonna follow the coach to the new destination.
01:28And it looked to work in Jalen Milrow's favor in particular.
01:32All the quarterbacks did get some playing time, but
01:34Jalen Milrow had great chemistry with Bernard.
01:38He's the only receiver to break 100 yards, right?
01:40And he did that late in the game, but he had chunk play after chunk play.
01:44He had a 52-yard catch at one point that set the offense up inside the 10.
01:49He also made a catch in traffic, just looked really comfortable.
01:54And I know you said it's a spring game, and
01:56sometimes that might not be the case, but today he was.
01:59And to me, that was something worth it.
