00:00 You know what's better than having wrestlers at WrestleMania?
00:03 Having literally anyone else at WrestleMania.
00:05 Oh, sorry, that was the ad read from last year's WrestleMania.
00:09 Who needs celebrities in our wrestling?
00:11 Only wrestling matches with wrestlers in wrestling tights and wrestling boots and a wrestling
00:15 ring this year.
00:16 Of course, celebrity involvement has been ingrained into the very DNA of WrestleMania
00:20 dating all the way back to the inception of the Colossal Tussle, but that does not mean
00:25 they have all been good.
00:27 Many of the celebrity appearances to take place at WrestleMania have been little of
00:30 note.
00:31 Raven-Symoné says hi to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
00:33 Jonathan Taylor Thomas is a timekeeper.
00:35 Pamela Anderson and Jenny McCarthy as valets.
00:38 Not much to remember them by, but some celebrity moments are so amazing that you can never
00:42 forget about them.
00:43 And well, unfortunately, the opposite is also true.
00:47 I'm Tempest Hailing from PartsFunKnown, and these are the 10 Best and 10 Worst Celebrity
00:51 WrestleMania Moments.
00:52 But before we get on with this list, make sure of course that you like this video, subscribe,
00:56 and enable notifications to always on so you don't miss a single one of the lists that
00:59 we've got in the plethora of WrestleMania content coming your way this month.
01:03 Honorable Mention Mike Tyson
01:05 Mike Tyson squeezes his way onto this list because it would be impossible to talk about
01:09 the greatest contributions celebrities have made to WrestleMania without mentioning Tyson's
01:13 role in making WrestleMania 14 the success it was.
01:16 But he misses because on the actual night, boy is he distracting, annoying, and otherwise
01:20 all around bad.
01:22 Number 10 Worst, Kim Kardashian
01:24 Luke Owen still denies this one ever took place.
01:27 Photographic evidence be damned, Luke Owen is unmoving.
01:30 Regardless of Luke's stubbornness, Kim K did indeed host WrestleMania 24 if you can
01:34 believe it.
01:35 She did nothing of note besides getting yelled at by Mr. Kennedy Kennedy and announce the
01:39 attendance figures, and this wasn't even when she had become the mogul that she would
01:43 go on to become.
01:44 A few years later, this could have been a big deal.
01:47 Here?
01:48 Nah.
01:49 Also, this was the first time I had ever heard of Kim Kardashian.
01:51 I was 11.
01:52 I was innocent.
01:53 Number 10 Best, Snooki
01:55 I don't want to hear it.
01:56 Snooki is a highlight of WrestleMania 27.
01:59 I wouldn't put being a highlight of one of the worst WrestleManias of all time in my
02:02 obituary, but this is also the woman that described herself as a meatball on many occasions,
02:07 so who knows where her priorities lie.
02:09 No matter which way you slice it, no one, when this match was announced, thought that
02:13 Snooki would do a round off back handspring.
02:15 She wasn't the worst on the show, and she wasn't close to being the worst celebrity
02:19 on the show.
02:20 That would be...
02:21 Number 9, Pee-Wee Herman
02:23 I know there is a generation of folks with nostalgia for Pee-Wee Herman, but good God
02:27 almighty is he ever the worst celebrity to grace the screen at WrestleMania 27.
02:32 Thankfully limited to a backstage segment, Mr. Wee Herman riffs with The Rock in some
02:35 of the most PG garbage comedy of the PG era.
02:39 Thankfully it was short, but piss piss Herman can piss off.
02:42 Number 9 Best, Pete Rose
02:45 Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, and it is a travesty that he is not.
02:48 I don't care that he bet on games, he is one of the best players in the history of the
02:51 game.
02:52 When American Sports with Tempest is done, as for WrestleMania, Rose is still one of
02:56 the best recurring bits of the Attitude Era, popping up at WrestleMania every year to f***
03:01 with and get thwarted by Kane.
03:03 WrestleMania 14 is the best among them if you want to get granular and hold me to one
03:06 moment, but Rose's run-ins at WrestleManias 15 and 2000 were also Hall of Fame worthy.
03:13 Number 8 Worst, Maria Menounos
03:15 This one feels a bit mean.
03:17 Maria Menounos is a massive wrestling fan.
03:19 She recites the Hard Times promo to Dusty Rhodes at the Hall of Fame, she wears homemade
03:23 Bob Backlund shirts at pay-per-views, and she seems like a lovely woman.
03:27 Her WrestleMania 28 tag match, however, is not f***ing good.
03:31 She breaks her rib during the match, she gets Eve's spray tan on the seat of her white
03:35 pants making it look like she'd s*** herself, and even its best moments are still in a 5
03:39 minute match during the worst era of WWE women's wrestling this side of the millennium.
03:44 Number 8 Best, Lawrence Taylor
03:46 While not the best in-ring performance of a celebrity on this list by any means, I truly
03:50 think Lawrence Taylor should be commended for his performance in the main event of WrestleMania
03:54 11.
03:55 On one hand you have Bam Bam Bigelow pulling off the carry job of a lifetime, but on the
03:59 other LT should get credit for being an incredible athlete, capable of holding his own in the
04:03 biggest match of the year.
04:05 WrestleMania 11 isn't a good WrestleMania by any means, but the main event wasn't too
04:09 bad.
04:10 Number 7 Worst, Aki Bono
04:12 WrestleMania baby, woo!
04:14 When people talk about Big Show's horrible WrestleMania resume, they're talking about
04:18 s*** like this.
04:19 Sorry Big Show, but what was the purpose of this?
04:21 Why did Big Show have a promoted 1 minute sumo match with Aki Bono?
04:26 They spent time on TV building this up, for why?
04:30 I just don't understand.
04:32 Humiliate your own star in a s*** match with Big Show's giant dimply ass pointed right
04:37 at the camera.
04:39 Appalling.
04:40 Number 7 Best, Logan Paul
04:42 While Logan Paul added fairly little to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens grudge match at WrestleMania
04:46 37, he was the featured performer just a year later at WrestleMania 38.
04:50 It feels like a disservice to Logan to put him this low on the list, but what can I say,
04:54 there have been some great Mania moments.
04:56 We did not yet know just how good Logan Paul was going to be at this, but what an introduction
05:00 we got when he beat the Mysterios alongside The Miz.
05:03 It really is annoying that this guy is so good at this, isn't it?
05:07 Number 6 Worst, Michael Shea and Colin Jost
05:10 It is appropriate, I suppose, considering how not funny Saturday Night Live has become,
05:14 that the WrestleMania appearances of these two SNL dudes would be the least funny thing
05:18 WWE did in 2019, and that is f***ing saying something.
05:22 These two walk out with all the charisma of your nan's plastic-covered sofa, hide under
05:26 the ring, then try to turn the Entree the Giant Memorial Battle Royal into a comedy
05:30 angle, getting Braun Strowman to talk to their therapist before getting chucked out.
05:34 No one cares about this Battle Royal, but f*** man, the Hardys were there, Luke Harper,
05:38 Andrade Ali, some f***ing players.
05:41 Nah, give the big spot to the unfunny comedians.
05:45 Number 6 Best, Ronda Rousey
05:47 I'm not going to count Ronda's wrestling career on this list, as she was signed by
05:51 WWE at the time, but her initial appearance at WrestleMania 31?
05:54 That's fair game.
05:55 Was this segment too long?
05:57 Yeah, probably.
05:58 You tell Triple H to hurry it up at WrestleMania and see how effective that is.
06:01 But The Rock enlisting Ronda Rousey, at the time the undefeated biggest draw in all of
06:05 combat sports, to fight Triple H and Stephanie McMahon was electric, complete with a rare
06:10 bit of perfect camera work from WWE, as The Rock slowly revealed his new ally.
06:15 Of course this was before Ronda Rousey was a bit, well, you know, bad.
06:20 But speaking of bad, Number 5 Worst, Gronk
06:23 Rob Gronkowski is the most talented tight end in NFL history.
06:27 It is known.
06:28 That does not, however, translate to pro wrestling.
06:30 A simple run-in marred by a security guard not knowing who Gronk was at the WrestleMania
06:34 33 pre-show?
06:36 Totally fine, totally harmless.
06:38 Gronk's endless escapades and incessant obnoxious dancing at WrestleMania 36?
06:43 Not fine, not harmless.
06:45 Winning the 24/7 championship to launch a wrestling career that never got off the ground
06:48 because wrestling is hard?
06:49 A total waste of time.
06:51 Number 5 Best, Bad Bunny
06:53 Who?
06:54 No, seriously, that will never be funny.
06:56 See this enormous stadium packed to the rafters for a Bad Bunny concert?
07:00 Maybe this means wrestling fans shouldn't be the barometers for everyone's cultural
07:03 significance.
07:04 Anyway, Bad Bunny blew everyone away at WrestleMania 37.
07:08 Sure his Canadian destroyer was really just him holding on for dear life while John Morrison
07:12 did a backflip, but his timing, poise and charisma outmatch a lot of people who have
07:16 done this way longer.
07:18 And then he rode off on a giant truck, and the Miz wouldn't stop talking about him
07:21 for months.
07:23 Number 4 Worst, Mickey Rourke
07:25 This story is so f***ing funny.
07:27 So Mickey Rourke was in a very good, very depressing movie called The Wrestler.
07:30 He was going to wrestle Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 25, but announced that on the red carpet way
07:34 too early, causing his PR team to panic because being involved with the lowbrow nonsense of
07:39 WWE would hurt his chances of winning the Oscar, and had him pull out of the match.
07:44 Then Jericho did an in-character interview on Larry King, convincing Rourke there was
07:48 heat so when Rourke showed up at WrestleMania, he brought Frank Shamrock as backup in case
07:54 things got ugly.
07:55 Rourke did a horrible post-match run-in following Jericho's win over the Old Folks Home and
07:59 threw an awful punch.
08:00 Rourke and Jericho blew off all the heat backstage when Jericho revealed he was not in fact shooting
08:05 on Rourke in the interview, but imagine the match they would have had.
08:08 Number 4 Best, Jackass
08:11 If it were Luke's list, this would be at number 1.
08:13 As it stands, it probably should still be number 1, but unfortunately there are a few
08:17 that beat it out through sheer historical significance.
08:20 WrestleMania 38 was the celebrity match mania, and people were not exactly down with that
08:24 idea going in, but then they were gifted with the wrestling masterpiece that was Sami Zayn
08:28 vs. Johnny Knoxville.
08:30 What is there to say about this match?
08:32 There's a giant hand, a giant mouse trap, a wee man hitting a giant slam.
08:36 It's a perfect match.
08:39 Where you can find Omega Okada 4 as the perfect wrestling match, this right here is a perfect
08:44 comedy match.
08:45 Number 3 Worst, Machine Gun Kelly
08:47 We've tried to exclude musical performances here today, that's a topic for another day,
08:52 but this one transcends music.
08:54 After all the effort WWE made to make John Cena appear on the same tier as The Rock in
08:58 the lead up to WrestleMania 28, this was the performance they gave for Cena's entrance.
09:04 The performance itself was whatever, it is Machine Gun Kelly after all, it's the WrestleMania
09:08 28 theme, who cares, but it was the entire hype man promo MGK gave, calling The Rock
09:14 one of the biggest egos in the business and saying he will fall to one of the biggest
09:18 underdogs.
09:19 John Cena, an underdog, in 2012.
09:22 There's no chance Cena wasn't getting booed walking into The Rock's home territory
09:26 of Miami, but this performance guaranteed it.
09:30 Number 3 Best, Floyd Mayweather
09:32 For many people, the measuring stick for celebrity wrestling matches is Floyd Mayweather's
09:37 boxer vs wrestler match with The Big Show.
09:39 WrestleMania baby, woo!
09:41 Whereas the Akebono match was a complete and utter waste of time, this match at WrestleMania
09:46 24 was one of the biggest highlights of the show.
09:49 Big Show ends up a babyface in spite of WWE somehow thinking that Floyd, one of the biggest
09:54 natural heels in all of show business, was going to be cheered in this match.
09:58 Floyd bumps for Big Show, sells incredibly well, carries himself like a star, and finally
10:02 knocks Big Show out with brass knucks after a very well paced filled with smoke and mirrors
10:07 match and also look it's Michael Tarver from the Nexus.
10:10 Number 2 Worst, Butterbean
10:12 Some of the entries on this list could be classified as a waste of time, Akebono says
10:16 hello, but at the very least, it is merely a waste of a segment and perhaps the time
10:20 it took to build the match.
10:22 Butterbean's boxing match at WrestleMania 15 is not only a waste of time on an all-time
10:26 wretched Wrestlemania, but it also serves as the culmination for one of the biggest
10:30 wastes of time in WWE history with the Brawl for All, Vince Russo's brain-dead idea to
10:35 have the fake wrestlers do real fights to prove that JBL wasn't tough.
10:39 It is one of the worst ideas in WWE, climaxing with a worthless boxing match that killed
10:44 Bart Gunn dead.
10:46 Shoutout to Butterbean, it wasn't his fault.
10:49 Number 2 Best, Donald Trump
10:50 UGHHH!
10:54 The words "best" and "Donald Trump" mesh together like caviar and horse sh*t, but unfortunately,
10:59 WrestleMania 23 was very successful.
11:01 Assholes, having a successful show.
11:04 The interest in the hair vs hair match between Trump and Vince McMahon with Bobby Lashley
11:08 and Umaga playing the role of the action figures the two billionaires were smashing together
11:12 was through the roof, resulting in the biggest buy rate in WWE history to that point.
11:17 It was a hell of an angle, a hell of a payoff, and a hell of an awful stunner.
11:21 The absolute state of that, dear God, had to end on a negative note because, you know,
11:27 Trump.
11:28 Number 1 Worst, Mr. T
11:30 Mr. T was instrumental in the success of WrestleMania 1, but when the time came for the sequel a
11:35 year later, boy did that success not translate.
11:38 Of course, one was a tag team match with three of the industry's biggest stars in the main
11:41 event of the most important wrestling show in history, and then there's this.
11:45 An honest to God, minus 5 star worked boxing match with Roddy Piper.
11:51 This is appallingly bad.
11:53 Any time wrestlers try to do a worked fight, whether it be boxing or MMA or whatever, it
11:58 never goes well, and this one is not short, it is not entertaining, and it ends with a
12:03 stupid f*cking DQ when Piper just gets bored and body slams T.
12:08 Not enough people name WrestleMania 2 as the worst Wrestlemania ever, but I assure you
12:12 anyone unlucky enough to be in the New York third of this God forsaken show could tell
12:16 you horror stories about how bad this show and this match were.
12:20 But thankfully for Mr. T, he also had, Number 1 Best, Mr. T.
12:25 The Success of WrestleMania 1 to Fall Back On
12:28 WrestleMania 1 is the most important wrestling show ever, and there could be a whole list
12:32 filled with just the celebrity appearances from that show.
12:35 Cindy Lauper, Liberace, Muhammad Ali, and Billy Martin prior to his fourth of five stints
12:40 as New York Yankees manager all brought in more eyes to the show, but Mr. T's involvement
12:45 in the WrestleMania 1 main event was the big one.
12:48 Hulk Hogan, the face of wrestling, teaming up with Mr. T, an actual mainstream megastar,
12:54 is a level of celebrity involvement that has not been achieved with this level of success
12:58 since.
12:59 And the match itself is fine.
13:01 Considering this is 1985, this could be way worse.
13:04 Imagine if we lived in the alternate timeline where Mr. T actually did pull out of this
13:09 match because he thought the others were going to shoot on him.
13:12 Which nearly happened.
13:13 Would we have WrestleMania as we know it today?
13:16 Maybe not.
13:17 And I pity the timeline that doesn't have WrestleMania.
13:19 And that's our list.
13:20 Make sure of course that you like this video, subscribe and enable notifications to always
13:23 on so you don't miss another fun list just like it, and click the link above so you can
