00:06Good morning, Elle.
00:07You ready to spend the day with me?
00:10The first thing I do when I wake up,
00:12which I feel like a lot of people say
00:14they meditate or something.
00:15I'm gonna be honest.
00:16I just pick up my phone.
00:18I usually scroll for about 10 minutes on TikTok, like this.
00:22And I don't know. I feel like it wakes me up.
00:24It gets me going.
00:26I'm also usually sleeping past my alarm.
00:28I'm, like, really bad with alarms.
00:29So once I get up,
00:31this is my position for about 10 minutes.

00:36I'm trying to get myself into a healthier habit
00:38of starting with a glass of water.
00:40So I just keep it on my nightstand.
00:41I put it there like I'm a child
00:43because I can go a whole day without drinking water.
00:46It'll be 9 p.m. at night, and I'm like,
00:47oh, my God, I had maybe two sips of water today.
00:49So this is me trying to get myself
00:51into a better habit of drinking water.
00:55The reason I keep a ring light over here,
00:58which these are the best thing ever for making content,
01:01they're so bright.
01:02And a lot of the content that I post is very spontaneous.
01:05It just comes in the moment to me.
01:07So I really never know what video I'm gonna be making.
01:10And I just keep it here just in case I have an idea.
01:13And then we just flick on the light and get recording.
01:15A lot of people call this the Alex Earl light,
01:17which is crazy because it's just not my light at all.
01:19I found this thing for, like, $10.
01:21And I was like, oh, my God, amazing.
01:22So I made a TikTok about it.
01:23And then it sold out. It went so viral.
01:25The prices, like, skyrocketed up.
01:27And now everyone calls it the Alex Earl light.
01:29And I even saw people say they were like,
01:31oh, I didn't know who Alex Earl was.
01:32I thought she was, like, a light company
01:34because people think that this is my light,
01:37but it's really not.
01:38I just discovered it on Amazon.
01:40Let's go get some coffee.
01:47I usually get a iced coffee with almond milk.
01:51That's kind of my go-to order wherever I am.
01:53And on my stroll to get a coffee,
01:55I like to call my family.
01:57It's like a set chunk of time that I can call my mom,
01:59my dad, my grandparents,
02:01because they're in Wisconsin or New Jersey,
02:04and I'm wherever in the world I am.
02:06So I just think it's a good time
02:07to catch up with them and talk.
02:08And then while I'm enjoying my coffee,
02:10I usually like to make sure
02:12that I'm getting my work done for the day.
02:14So I will first check my calendar,
02:16make sure I'm on schedule for everything,
02:18and I don't miss anything or any meetings.
02:20And then I will go through my emails.
02:22And I have a big notes document that I use for my podcast,
02:26which is Hot Mess with Alex Earl.
02:28And I don't know, I kind of brainstorm ideas in there.
02:30I think this is a good time, fresh, waking up.
02:33I'll put all my ideas into this document,
02:36see if we can make anything, an episode idea from that.
02:39Because I'm usually not in Miami,
02:42the podcast has kind of been traveling with me now.
02:44So I have my camera equipment
02:46that I'll just bring with me everywhere
02:48and set up and start filming wherever I am.
02:50After I get work done for about an hour,
02:53I go to wake my body up and I do some yoga.
02:56So I'll show you guys how I do that.
03:05Welcome to Alex's online yoga class.
03:08Because I'm traveling around a lot,
03:09it's kind of nice to get myself grounded
03:12because I think not being in one place all the time,
03:14you can feel a little anxious.
03:16I usually start with this, which is just butterfly, I think.
03:20I used to be a dancer, so I was a lot more flexible.
03:23My knees would be able to hit the ground.
03:25That's not really the case anymore.
03:27But honestly, this just feels good,
03:29stretches out your lower back too.
03:31And then next, I usually like to go into a child's pose.
03:35I'm gonna try and do this as gracefully
03:37as possible right now.
03:38But I will stretch out like this, gets the lower back.
03:44And then I will take an arm and twist it through.
03:48Bonus, if your back cracks, that's always my favorite.
03:52But something like this.
04:00Now we're gonna get into downward dog.
04:03Oh gosh, okay.
04:05So something like this.
04:09This feels really good.
04:11If you haven't downward dogged, you should.
04:13And then you can go through, chaturanga,
04:18and then you go up and stretch back.
04:23Like the tops of my hips just pop the front part
04:25and it feels really good.
04:28I will usually do yoga for like 20 minutes.
04:32And another hack actually I have is on YouTube,

04:38or Alexis Ren's 10 Minute Butt Workout.
04:40They are my personal trainers with those YouTube videos.
04:43Now we've broken a little sweat
04:45and let's go do our skincare routine.
04:47Every morning I have a set skincare routine that I do.
04:54Growing up I never really had one
04:56and I've always struggled with acne.
04:57So this has been a big part of my skin journey
05:00and sticking to clean good products.
05:03So I will get into it and show you guys what I use.
05:06First, I start off with washing my face.
05:08I use this Pietra Simone Purifying Cleanser.
05:11My bottle's a little broken right now
05:13so this is how we're using it.
05:15What I like about this cleanser is it's not too strong
05:18but it cleanses your pores, you put it on,
05:20you can put it on and leave it as a face mask
05:22for a few minutes actually too
05:23and then I will rinse it off with water.
05:30I also learned to pat your face with the towel,
05:33not to rub it.
05:34And then after that I will go in with this Vivant Toner
05:37and I never used a toner before
05:39but actually now you will see how much stuff
05:41comes off of your face.
05:42It's insane.
05:43So I don't know how I wasn't using one of these before.
05:49It's crazy how much stuff comes off every time
05:51even after you wash your face multiple times,
05:53stuff still comes off.
05:54So a toner is definitely really good.
05:56Then I go in with a Mandelic Acid Serum
06:00which is really good for your acne.
06:01This one is also from Vivant.
06:05Has a little dropper so I'll do one on my forehead
06:07and then one on each cheek.
06:09And this has really helped with clearing up my skin,
06:11getting rid of any blemishes.
06:14And this is something I definitely did not use before
06:17but this is a tinted moisturizer.
06:19It has SPF in it.
06:20I never used SPF but I realized how important that is.
06:24This is from Alliston and it's really, really nice.
06:28It has a nice finish to it that has a tint
06:31but it's not gonna look like you have makeup on
06:33but since my skin has some scarring and it can be uneven,
06:37it just kind of gives you a nice finish.
06:40And being out in the sun,
06:41it's definitely good to protect your skin.
06:44On days that I'm not really going for a full makeup look,
06:48I will just keep this on
06:50and then sometimes do a little lip gloss,
06:52maybe some mascara,
06:53but I'll kind of use it instead of foundation.
06:55This is another hack that I have.
06:57I wake up with red eyes.
06:58I don't know why.
06:59So I got these Lumify eye drops
07:01and sometimes I'll do these before I'm doing my makeup too.
07:04But you just put one drop in each eye
07:07and your eyes will be pure white, no redness.
07:11I don't know.
07:12I've been loving these.
07:16And we're gonna keep it pretty simple today
07:17but I think I'm gonna add a lip
07:19because we can never leave the house
07:21without a little bit of lip gloss.
07:24This one is from Ole Henriksen
07:26and it has a blood orange flavor to it.
07:29It gives a little bit of a tint and I don't know,
07:31I just think a glossy lip can add a lot to a look.
07:33Personally, I think the biggest things
07:35that make a difference on my face
07:37will be my lips and my eyes.
07:39So I always curl my eyelashes before I leave
07:42and then we're gonna add a little bit of mascara
07:43so I can show you guys.
07:45Everyone gets really scared about my eyelash curling
07:47because it looks like my eyes rolling back in my head,
07:50but I'm telling you, it's the way to get a perfect curl.
07:53I had no idea that I was curling my eyelashes
07:55different than everyone until I started posting videos
07:58and everyone was commenting about it.
08:00I don't know, I didn't think anything
08:01was that different or scary about it.
08:04And my hack for keeping the curl
08:07is always using a waterproof mascara.
08:09If I use a regular mascara,
08:11the curls will just probably fall flat in like an hour.
08:13So this will keep your lashes up
08:16and looking beautiful all night.
08:19I always kind of make a mess with mascara,
08:21but we'll go back in and clean it up when they're done.
08:24I don't ever really put false eyelashes on
08:27unless I'm getting my makeup done by someone
08:30for something that they wanna put a couple ones on the end,
08:33but usually I just kind of go with my natural lash.
08:37We're gonna try and clean this up a little bit.
08:39I don't know how girls put mascara on
08:41without getting it all over their eyelid,
08:42but honestly, this one wasn't too bad.
08:46And then this is our final look for the day.
08:49Not too much, pretty simple,
08:51but we look a little bit more alive now.
