00:00 Welcome to NTFA Premier Tips Round 3 with Brian Allen from The Examiner.
00:05 So we're walking through this week's round and we've got Rotorilie against Dellerayne at Rotorilie.
00:12 And I think Rotorilie will win this one by 30 points.
00:16 The Tigers have had a strong start to the season after winning the Premiership last year.
00:22 After losing to South Launceston narrowly in Round 1, they were able to hang on against a much improved Georgetown
00:29 in Round 2. They only won by a goal, but the Saints are doing really well.
00:34 So I think the Tigers have made a really solid start to the season and should get the job done here.
00:40 And we have Longford against Bracknell at Longford.
00:45 And this is like your local derby between two country towns.
00:51 There'll be a big crowd there.
00:53 Longford had the bye in Round 1, so they've only had the one game and they played Scottsdale and had a big win.
01:00 So they're a little bit unknown to me because they've got a fair few recruits and returning players this season.
01:06 Meanwhile, I saw Bracknell in action on the weekend and they were really good against Hillwood.
01:11 Yeah, they were just beaten late in that game with the Sharks.
01:16 So he made last year's Grand Final a pretty strong side.
01:19 So I would expect Bracknell to push Longford right to the line here.
01:23 And I've got Longford winning by two points.
01:28 In the third game, we've got Bridge North hosting Georgetown.
01:32 And yeah, I think that the Parrots will win this one by 11 points.
01:37 They've had two close games to start the season against Bracknell and South Launceston.
01:43 They won against Bracknell and just went down to South Launceston.
01:46 So yeah, Bridge North have proved already they're going to be strong this season with their host of recruits,
01:52 including Jake and Jaden Hines from the Launceston Blues.
01:56 So yes, I think they'll just be a bit strong for Georgetown, who, as I said, have improved over the offseason and have a host of great recruits themselves.
02:09 In the final game, we've got Hillwood hosting South Launceston.
02:13 And I think the Bulldogs will win this one by 15 points.
02:18 It's going to be another cracking game.
02:21 South Launceston have showcased their great depth so far this season with close wins against Roche Raleigh and Bridge North.
02:27 But then you have a Hillwood side that's had a big win against Scottsdale and a good tight win against Bracknell.
02:35 The reason I think South will win this one is, yes, they've got a couple of good players out themselves,
02:40 and the likes of Jay Blackberry, who's got firefighting commitments.
02:46 But their depth, they've got crazy depth.
02:49 They've really got a really good sort of squad, I'd say.
02:54 And meanwhile, Hillwood's missing the likes of playing coach Jake Pearce, who I really think is one of their best players.
03:01 So yeah, I think South's depth is probably the reason that they can get the win there.
03:08 And yes, Scottsdale have the buy-in.
03:11 So I hope you have a great weekend of football.
