00:00 >> I don't think any two people
00:02 could be murdered the way they
00:04 were without everybody being
00:06 covered in blood.
00:07 >> O.J. Simpson's chilling
00:09 words, but did he kill his ex
00:11 Nicole brown Simpson and her
00:13 friend Ron Goldman?
00:14 Though he's gone today at the
00:16 age of 76, the controversy
00:18 remains.
00:19 Welcome to "Access Hollywood."
00:21 I'm Mario Lopez here on location
00:23 in Chicago filming a movie.
00:25 And this morning, Simpson's
00:26 family revealed O.J. Lost his
00:28 life in a cancer battle, ending
00:30 a three-decade saga of infamy
00:32 that peaked in 1995 with his
00:34 shocking double murder acquittal.
00:36 >> Hey, "X-World," it's me,
00:38 yours truly.
00:39 Boy, what a beautiful day it is
00:41 here in Las Vegas.
00:42 >> O.J.'s last post was in
00:44 February, smiling and excited
00:46 for the Super Bowl, rooting for
00:48 his former team, the 49ers,
00:50 while also addressing rumors
00:51 about his failing health.
00:52 >> My health is good.
00:53 I mean, obviously, I'm dealing
00:55 with some issues, but, hey, I
00:57 think I'm just about over it,
00:59 and I'll be back on that golf
01:01 course, hopefully in a couple of
01:03 weeks.
01:04 >> He was looking frail, spotted
01:06 walking with a cane in January,
01:08 and by February, he was reported
01:10 to be in hospice, a rumor he
01:12 quickly shot down.
01:13 >> Hospice?
01:14 You talking about hospice?
01:15 [ Laughs ]
01:16 No, I'm not in any hospice.
01:18 >> We, the jury, in the above
01:20 entitled action, find the
01:21 defendant, Orenthal James
01:22 Simpson, not guilty of the crime
01:24 of murder.
01:25 >> Dubbed by many as the trial
01:26 jury, OJ was acquitted criminally

01:33 Goldman, his legal team,

01:51 that are out waving at him.

04:12 >> I'm going to tell you a story
04:13 you've never heard before,
04:14 because no one knows this story
04:15 the way I know it.
04:16 It takes place the night of June
04:18 12, 1994, and it concerns the
04:20 murders of my ex-wife, Nicole
04:21 Brown Simpson, and her young
04:23 friend, Ronald Goldman.
04:25 >> The entire story Simpson
04:26 begins to tell is framed as a
04:28 hypothetical, but he goes into
04:29 absolutely extraordinary, bizarre
04:31 detail.
04:32 Concerned over potential
04:33 nefarious goings-on, he says
04:35 that on that night, he drove to
04:37 Nicole's home in his infamous
04:38 white Bronco with a friend he
04:39 calls Charlie.
04:40 >> This is very difficult for
04:41 me to do this.
04:42 It was very difficult for
04:43 me because it's hypothetical.
04:45 I know and I accept the fact that
04:47 people are going to feel whatever
04:49 way they're going to feel.
04:50 [LAUGH] >> You put on a wool cap
04:53 and gloves.
04:54 >> In the hypothetical,
04:56 I put on a cap and gloves.
04:58 >> Right, and you reached under
05:00 the seat for- >> A knife, and while
05:04 I was there, a guy shows up.
05:06 In the mood I was in, I started
05:08 having words with him.
05:10 >> Ron apparently told Simpson
05:11 that he was returning a pair of
05:12 glasses that were left by
05:13 Nicole's mom, Judy, when she and
05:15 Nicole were at the restaurant
05:16 where Ron worked earlier that
05:17 evening.
05:18 >> You get into a fight,
05:19 Nicole comes out.
05:20 >> Verbal, a verbal fight.
05:22 Got a little loud, and by that
05:25 time, Nicole had come out.
05:29 And we started having words
05:30 about who is this guy, why is he
05:32 here, what's going on.
05:34 >> And she says, this is my
05:35 house, get the F out of here.
05:37 >> Yes, and which I didn't like.
05:40 As things got heated,
05:42 I just remember Nicole fell and
05:45 hurt herself.
05:47 And this guy kind of got into
05:50 a karate thing.
05:52 And I said, well,
05:53 you think you can kick my ass?
05:54 And I remember I grabbed a knife.
05:56 I do remember that portion,
05:58 taking a knife from Charlie.
06:00 And to be honest, after that,
06:02 I don't remember, except I'm
06:04 standing there and there's all
06:06 this blood and stuff around.
06:08 >> What kind of stuff?
06:11 >> Blood and stuff around.
06:12 >> You wrote in the book,
06:13 I had never seen so
06:14 much blood in my life.
06:15 >> Yes, it was horrible.
06:18 It was absolutely horrible.
06:20 [MUSIC]
06:30 you
