00:00 4 Legendary Pokemon The four legendary Pokemon who aren't Coridon
00:05 or Myrridon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as being centered on the wrongdoings
00:09 of humanity, seem to involve nature and natural elements, with all of them being cladded in
00:14 leaves, rocks, snow or fire. But to unlock them is going to take a lot of hard work.
00:18 Don't worry though as we're here to explain exactly how to get all four of these Pokemon.
00:22 These ominous black stakes are used to unlock secret shrines all over the map, each one
00:27 containing a legendary Pokemon. By finding all the ominous stakes, players can unlock
00:31 each shrine and earn a chance to capture the Pokemon inside. Referred to as the "Ruinous
00:35 Pokemon", Chien-Pao the Sabertooth Tiger, Wo Chien the Snail, Ting-Lu the Reindeer and
00:41 Chi-Yu the Little Fiery Goldfish are all up for grabs. So let's start with Chien-Pao.
00:48 Chien-Pao is a dark and ice type Pokemon cladded in snow, and its stakes all have a yellow
00:53 glow to it. Just remember, never eat yellow snow.
00:57 First let's track down the Ice Wrench Shrine. It's located here, on a high cliff on Paldea's
01:02 West Coast, south of the Asado Desert and north of the unmarked wind turbines on the
01:07 map. All of the stakes for this shrine are in the lower left corner quadrant of Paldea,
01:12 nothing north of Kas Karapha, nothing further east than Mesa Goza.
01:16 Also worth mentioning, we recommend having all of the Ride Pokemon abilities unlocked
01:20 which you get from the Path of Legend. But as these 4 legendary Pokemon are around level
01:24 60, hopefully you would have had all of these unlocked anyways. We've numbered these in
01:28 rising order from southernmost to northernmost, though it doesn't matter which order you
01:32 pull them in. However, this way you can start at the bottom and work your way up to the
01:36 top. So let's start with Yellow Stake #1.
01:42 Halfway down the waterfall east of Alfonada is a tiny ledge on the left side with the
01:46 stake and nothing else stuck into it. Yellow Stake #2 can be found when you head to the
01:50 beach on the west coast of South Province in Area 6. You will then see a slope rising
01:55 to a large cave that turns out to be a long straight tunnel. Halfway down the tunnel is
02:00 the second stake. In the same area, head to the surface, this time climb the mountain
02:04 overlooking the northern pass. On its east side is Yellow Stake #3, stuck into a ledge.
02:10 From the nearby Pokemon Center, head south east and down the mountain. Halfway down is
02:14 an outcropping with Stake #4 resting in it.
02:17 Southeast of the turbines near where you encounter the Bombarda Titan is a circular pit with
02:22 a pillar in the center. Stake #5 is stuck into the pillar, meaning you will need to
02:26 glide, climb or jump carefully to make it over the gap. Head to the ruins south of Osada
02:31 Desert. Just south of those is an overlook with Yellow Stake #6 not particularly hidden
02:37 next to a small tree. Yellow Stake #7 is in a small gap in the side of a cliff that backs
02:42 into the Great Crater of Paldeia. Just hug the exterior by walking through the grasslands
02:47 and you'll find it easily enough.
02:49 The final and last Yellow Stake for Chien Pao is behind the Kaskarapha Gym itself. Go
02:54 behind the building and there's a small garden with a stream running through it. The
02:58 stake is nestled behind one of the garden's larger trees.
03:03 If you've found all the stakes and destroyed them, you'll get a bit of text telling you
03:07 that you heard something from the shrine itself. Head back to it and interact with it if you're
03:11 ready to challenge the legendary Pokemon within.
03:14 Chien Pao is a powerhouse Pokemon that has a variety of attacks and move types to cut
03:19 through your team. Fortunately, it also has a lot of weaknesses to exploit, just be careful
03:24 not to beat it altogether. It's also important to remember the move Ruination. All of these
03:29 legendaries have it and it cuts the remaining HP of the enemy Pokemon in half. Admittedly,
03:34 it can't be used to fully knock out Pokemon, but that wouldn't stop Chien Pao from taking
03:38 an opponent down to a quarter of their health in a couple of moves, then following it up
03:42 with a normal attack. Bring plenty of Ultra Balls, hit it with Paralysis early on and
03:47 you shouldn't have too much trouble catching this crazy cat with a serious overbite. Not
03:51 only that, but it can help you beat some of the ruinous legendary Pokemon to follow. Now
03:56 on to the next one.
04:06 Tinglu is the legendary, ruinous, vessel, reindeer, moose, thing that's ground and dark
04:12 type. It's found in the Ground Blight Shrine north of Kassaroya Lake. North of the lake
04:16 itself is a large section of mountain. In the mountain's southern wall is a small ravine
04:22 with the shrine clearly marked below, and even a path marked on the map leading up to
04:26 it. Inside waits Tinglu. Its Pokedex description says it brings its exceedingly heavy head
04:32 down upon the ground, splitting the earth open with huge fissures. Heavy as the head
04:37 that wears the… whatever this is. Tinglu's stakes are green and in the top left corner
04:43 of Paldea, largely in or around the Kassaroya Lake area. The same rules as before apply
04:48 again, so let's start with green stake number one. For stake number one, head to the grasslands
04:53 north of Asada Desert and there'll be a perfectly circular hole in the middle that you can drop
04:58 down. You'll land in a cavern on top of a pillar. The first stake is waiting next to
05:02 you. From the last stake, simply walk outside to the north and drop down to the grass near
05:06 the waterfall to find stake number two waiting for you. For stake number three, there's a
05:13 grassy outcropping in the side of Koseilo Mountain. You'll either need to jump down
05:17 from above or use your box legendary's climb ability, but once you reach it, the stake
05:22 is waiting in clear sight. Next, go to the smallest island in Kassaroya Lake, basically
05:27 a tuft with a tree on it. On its west side is the next green stake. Green stake number
05:31 four, on a small ledge. Green stake number five requires you to surf north to the biggest
05:36 island in Kassaroya, where you might have fought the false dragon titan at some point.
05:41 It's the highest part, clearly in the open, on the island's east side. Head to the tip
05:46 of the peninsula on the lake's west side, then climb to its highest point. Stuck in
05:50 the ground next to a tree is ominous green stake number six. Hop north across a couple
05:55 of islands and hug the western coastline. On a ledge overlooking the sea near the top
06:00 of the rising slope, you will see stake seven right over here. It's the furthest trek
06:05 to stake number eight, no matter where you're coming from. Head to the mountains and the
06:09 stake itself is simply stuck into a snowy slope.
06:15 Ting Lu is a brute with a lot of HP, attack and defend, though its low speed means you'll
06:19 be able to leap ahead of it in a pinch. All of its moves are attack based, except ruination,
06:24 though that hardly matters considering that has a set amount of damage. So make sure you
06:28 bring in your Pokemon with the highest defense. Capture it and you'll have the Dreadmoose
06:32 of Paldea that wears its helmet upside down added to your team.
06:44 Grass Withershrine is found on Paldea's southern coast against a cliff wall on the stretch
06:49 of land between Pokkopark Lighthouse and the Beachside Pokemon Center at the bottom of
06:53 the South Province in Area 1. Inside you can find the Ruinous Tablet, also known as Wo
07:01 Chien, a grass/dark type snail with a sturdy special defense and the day ruining move Giga
07:06 Drain. To get inside, you'll have to go for the purple tinted black ominous stakes. This
07:11 time all the stakes are in the lower right corner of the map and usually in grassland
07:15 or canyons far from civilization. With a couple of exceptions, do them in any order listed
07:20 for the simplest, shortest snail trail to Wo Chien.
07:23 Let's start with an easy one. Scale the cliff that the Shrine Door is stuck into and literally
07:28 overlooking it is the first purple ominous black stake. Follow the river south of Los
07:32 Platos west to its source, then head up the cliffs at the very top near the little spring
07:37 is purple stake number 2 in the ground. Purple stake number 3 is north of Los Platos on the
07:43 cliffs on the east side of the path overlooking the zone, in a slightly forested area. The
07:48 next one is at the highest point in the area, at the very top of the precipice in the middle
07:53 of South Province. Just keep climbing and you'll reach purple stake number 4. On the
07:57 south side of the first bridge linking South and East Provinces right on the edge of the
08:02 river is, you guessed it, purple ominous stake number 5. Go to the dusty scrubland east of
08:08 Mesa Goza and at the north side is a raised plateau you'll need to climb up. Stake number
08:12 6 is up there, giving you a clear view of the Mesa Goza bridge. Follow north through
08:17 the scrubland and canyons towards the very edge where it meets the fields of the East
08:21 Province.
08:22 The two biomes are divided by a ravine and on the north side of the ravine where the
08:25 land hooks outwards is the precious penultimate protruding purple stake number 7. Perhaps
08:31 the easiest ominous stake to find, just head over to the town of Artisan and the West Pokemon
08:36 Center. Just south of that building on the river overlooking the town is stake number
08:40 8. Pull it out and head back to the Grass Wither shrine when you're ready to take on
08:44 Weubqian.
08:47 As befits a snail, Weubqian is something of a tank, with a high special defense in particular
08:52 and fairly robust HP, special attack and defense stat to boost. We recommend giving something
08:58 false swipe so you don't end up knocking it out by accident. False swipe can only be
09:02 obtained from Mr. Jack in the biology room after doing your first biology lesson and
09:07 having obtained over 30 Pokemon. Use bug attacks carefully as they're doubly super effective.
09:12 They'll do huge damage but maybe too much, and while Weubqian's tricky moveset might
09:16 make it a little hard to catch, it's definitely worth it, because then you'll get that moveset
09:21 added to your team.
09:32 Fire Scorched Shrine is found at the very top of the Fury Falls just south of the North
09:36 Province Pokemon Center. Find the falls, then use Coridon or Miridon to climb up the water
09:41 source which will then take you into a cave filled with Pokemon, and the Blue Fire Scorched
09:45 Shrine. You must know the drill by now, there are 8 blue tinted ominous black stakes hidden
09:50 in the North East corner of Paldea, all of which need to be found and uprooted to unlock
09:55 the Blue Fire Scorched Shrine and confront Chi-Yu. Unlike other regions, the mountainous
09:59 landscape and uneven terrain makes a simple south to north sweep not really viable. Your
10:04 best bet is to make liberal use of the flying taxi, not to mention that without the climb
10:08 and glide abilities, getting around is going to be very difficult.
10:14 The first blue stake is up north, north west of the mountain range. Just up from the beach
10:18 is a small ledge with a tree, and the first blue ominous stake in the ground. From there,
10:23 head down to the coast. Next to a large sunken area is a tall, thin spike of rock on its
10:28 west side. Climb up to get stake number 2 from the top. Heading east to the unclimbable
10:33 wall, hug the high ridge that runs along its side until you're nearly level with the nearby
10:37 Pokemon Center. Stake number 3 is stuck in the ground near a large tree on the edge.
10:42 Keep going south along the wall, then when you reach the area marked above, jump down
10:46 to a small patch of ruins hugging that south east cliff edge. Stake number 4 is in the
10:51 ruins.
10:52 Next, head to the lighthouse north east of Leventia. Just north west of that is a raised
10:56 cliff overlooking it, with stake number 5 jutting out of the cliff. For the next blue
11:00 ominous stake, head to the north of Tag Tree Thicket. Backed against the cliff is a raised
11:05 plateau, with stake number 6 waiting for you there.
11:08 On the section of brown cliff, you'll see a tiny spot of green marked on the map, a
11:12 tiny patch of grass with a couple of trees. Stake number 7 is here, on the descent down
11:17 the mountain. Stake 8 is kind of a joke, as it's actually on top of the shrine itself.
11:22 Leave the cave with Fire Scud's shrine at the top of Fury Falls, and use Kyrydon on
11:26 Maridon to climb down. Directly above the shrine is the final stake. Grab it and drop
11:31 back in to reach the open shrine.
11:36 Nothing smells a bit fishy here, as despite looking like a fish, Chi-Yu is not a water
11:41 type. It's a dark fire hybrid, with a moveset even more annoying than Woe Chien's. Ruination
11:46 does huge damage, bounce will cause your attacks to miss like fly, and swagger will boost your
11:51 Pokemon's attack and inflict confusion in the same process. Be careful about attacking,
11:56 because your attack is improved by swagger, so even if you land a hit, you risk miscalculating
12:01 damage and knocking out this little demon goldfish. Be cautious.
12:04 Chi-Yu is a good all-rounder. In terms of stats, it's special attack and special defense
12:08 and speed are especially impressive, and it's broad moveset gives you a lot of options when
12:13 deciding how you want to build it.
12:23 And those are all the secret shrine legendary Pokemon hiding in Paldeia. Phew! Be sure to
12:28 come back to this video, and skip to wherever you need to find exactly where every stake
12:32 is. Also, be sure to like, comment and subscribe to GamesRadar's YouTube channel. See ya!
