00:00 Yes guys, how's it going? It's Henry Bryant from the Chichester Observer back with yet another food review.
00:05 We're at Runxon Cafe in Chichester where we're going to be trying some of their lovely food
00:10 that's recently won two prestigious awards at the Retail Farm Association Awards.
00:14 So we'll get straight into it and I'll tell you exactly what it's like.
00:18 This place won the Farm Cafe/Restaurant of the Year Award and also won the Rising Star.
00:23 And a statement from the judges said their menu centres around their own outstanding produce
00:27 in a bright and fresh setting with loads of natural light.
00:30 It's fair to say the judges were right because I do have a window seat and it's really nice and light in here.
00:34 It's a really nice welcoming, warming atmosphere and you can just see that it's a lovely day outside
00:40 and people are sitting out there enjoying themselves, having a tea, having a coffee,
00:44 having a little bit of food and lunch and it's a really nice place to be at the moment.
00:49 Right, I've got my cappuccino, it's lunchtime, I'm ready to go.
00:52 I've ordered, I've got the soup of the day coming.
00:55 And I also asked them about what their most popular menu item is at the moment
00:58 because they've got this new main sort of menu that they've been promoting
01:02 and we've got this pan-fried sea bass fillet with an Asian noodle salad, baby gem ice lettuce,
01:07 peppers, onions, coriander, lime and sesame oil with a soy, ginger and maple glaze.
01:13 I can't even say it all in one sentence.
01:15 Oh, thanks so much.
01:16 You're welcome.
01:17 That looks really nice.
01:18 Do you need anything else at the moment?
01:19 No, that's it, thank you. Cheers. Perfect.
01:21 One great thing about this place is they try and include at least one locally produced item in their meal
01:26 so it's great to see that that's being used in their cooking.
01:29 Now that is the business.
01:36 You can really taste the sweet pepper coming through in that.
01:40 Really, really fresh, flavoursome and it's just like the nicest sort of soup that you're able to get
01:51 because it's locally produced vegetables and it's just great to see that you can taste that in the cooking.
01:57 It's really great.
01:58 Just have a little bit of that bread in there, have a little rip of that.
02:02 All guns blazing, a bit of that. Come on.
02:05 Look at that.
02:07 Now that is what you call a nice bit of bread and soup.
02:10 Quat.
02:15 Now the main has landed and it is looking...
02:18 God, I knew it was going to look good but not that good.
02:22 It looks so, so decadent.
02:24 Really excited to get into it so I'm going to prop the camera up.
02:27 We'll go straight into it and I'll tell you exactly how it is.
02:30 Right, I was going to talk on the first bite but I am more inclined to have a second bite to be honest with you.
02:36 So that's what I'm going to do in that.
02:38 My friends, this is quite a big bite as well. That's a big forkful.
02:42 Mmm.
02:43 Mmm, mmm, mmm.
02:45 Wow.
02:49 Now the softness of that fish paired with the noodles and the salad,
02:57 that little bit of chilli as well and the nuts as well added in.
03:02 It just gives you an explosion of flavours, a really fresh taste.
03:07 You don't normally get.
03:11 I've got to say, I am really impressed.
03:14 And just like that we are all completely done there.
03:17 That was cracking, really tasty, really flavoursome, fresh and quite healthy as well if you think about it.
03:24 So a win-win in all departments there.
03:28 And that was just a nice two-course meal with that soup of the day and that pan fried fish.
03:34 You can't go wrong.
03:37 And this has been Henry Bryant with the Chichester Observer.
03:40 Stay tuned for more reviews coming up and we'll see you very soon.
