00:00 >> Tyler, just kind of your overall thoughts, I guess,
00:03 first of all, playing in front of that, in this state for the first time with the crowd.
00:08 What was that like, and kind of assess your performance?
00:11 >> I thought it was fun, I thought it was really good showing.
00:13 They were getting after it, the crowd was making some noise, and
00:16 it was just a good environment.
00:18 I thought we started really hot, and you came out firing, slowed down a little bit,
00:22 had a couple misplays, I think just drops, good breakups, and
00:27 then kind of battled that, had another good drive, and then Chris was making big plays
00:31 all over left and right, so he was definitely an easy target to go to when he was making
00:35 that much separation, and then the last drive, driving down the red zone,
00:40 airplane covered three, hit five birds, probably would have thrown it there ten
00:42 times out of ten, Quincy, all ACC players, great play, gets a pick.
00:47 So overall, I felt like it was a really good day, good stuff to learn from.
00:52 >> Chris, in what ways do you feel like the offense will be better this year
00:57 compared to last season, especially in terms of getting the ball down and
01:01 field more and passing plays?
01:04 >> I feel like we got a lot of people coming back, and
01:08 they've been in the offense, and I know that helps a lot,
01:12 cuz they already know the offense, it just helps Tyler a lot.
01:16 And Tyler came in, the offense very quick, so
01:19 I feel like that's gonna help us out too.

01:29 >> For Tyler, what has the chemistry been like between you two over the course
01:33 of spring ball, cuz it seems like you two have developed quite the repertoire to be
01:37 kind of targeting him early and often in the spring game.
01:40 >> Yeah, I mean, I think as soon as I got here in the winter,
01:42 just throwing routes with him, I was like, this guy, he's got some juice to him,
01:46 and he's gonna be one of our really good guys.
01:48 And I think we just kind of hit it off and connected from there,
01:51 especially when he's making big plays.
01:53 He plays, I mean, he goes 100%, whether it's in practice, walkthrough, and
01:57 especially when we're out there playing.
01:58 So I'm always gonna give him a look, especially he's covered,
02:02 he got cloud over there, gonna try and work to him, and
02:05 he's shown he can make a play.
02:06 >> Tyler, what has stood out the most about just this offense,
02:10 getting acclimated to it?
02:12 What are some things that jumps out at you, especially as a quarterback?
02:15 You mentioned those long passes, just how much energy do you get being able to play
02:19 in an offense like this where you have some freedom and can just go for long plays?
02:23 >> Yeah, I mean, I think that's a really good point,
02:25 just because we have the ability to do a lot of things on offense and
02:27 get into a lot of different scenarios and personnels.
02:29 And I love it for me just cuz it's very challenging.
02:32 They put a lot of that play in, and I really take it on.
02:34 I'm trying to get us in the best play possible, whatever that may be.
02:38 I think we just have a lot of tools and a lot of talent to try and
02:41 spread it around too.
02:42 So it's a good problem to have when you got a lot of guys around you that can go
02:45 in and play, and I think that's what Coach Brom and both of them are really trying to
02:48 do, and it's been a lot of fun so far, just kind of learning and
02:51 growing in the offense.
02:52 I think we're just getting started.
02:53 >> Chris, how different do you feel now compared to last year?
02:58 What strides do you feel like you've taken from the work you've put in the offseason
03:03 to go into this?
03:04 >> I feel way different.
03:07 I got to a new job, I think a few days, a few weeks ago.
03:13 I was hurt around this time, couldn't really get no reps, and be out on the field.
03:18 Coming back and fall camp, I got a little better,
03:24 started to learn the offense.
03:27 But now, since I've been in the offense and played in the offense,
03:30 I feel like it's just come easy and natural to me.
03:33 I feel like that helped Tyler out, cuz I know the offense.
03:39 Just going out and knowing that Tyler trusts me, and
03:42 that I'm gonna make the play, I feel like that helps too.
03:45 It's just giving that trust, that helps me.
03:48 >> Good, thank you.
03:51 >> Tyler, in the spring, you never know what's gonna happen when everybody's
03:56 out there playing, when guys walk on, get the opportunity.
04:00 Can you just speak to what Chris Hughes did, or
04:03 Hank Sam catching a touchdown pass, and those guys get out there and work a lot.
04:08 Can you just speak to those guys getting a chance?
04:12 >> Yeah, they're coming in every single day, busting their butts for the team.
04:16 And they're gonna contribute in the fall as well.
04:17 Those guys are really talented and doing really good.
04:20 So it's great to see them make plays and really work their butts off.
04:25 Cuz it's obviously a lot of fun, we're gonna be super happy for them.
04:28 Just cuz we know they've been working hard and having fun with them.
04:32 They're out there grinding with us every single day.
04:34 >> All right, guys.
04:36 Thanks.
