00:10 What were you seeing inside the race car?

00:13 >> I was feeling pretty down.
00:15 Going down the back straightaway.
00:17 The bottom lane was really pulling away.
00:18 But we came off four and they started to fan out.
00:22 I'm like, okay, maybe I'm going to have a shot at second or third.
00:25 And then Michael got turned by Brad.
00:28 I mean, I don't know.
00:30 You're just not thinking at that point, to be honest with you.
00:32 You're just pedal to the metal.
00:35 I was just trying to get by Brad before the caution came out.
00:38 And again, I don't know if I crossed the finish line first or if the caution came out.
00:41 I don't know how it played out.
00:43 But they said I won.
00:44 So I'm happy.
00:45 >> The Toyotas are always the lesser in numbers when we come to super speedways.
00:49 But this came down to saving fuel and different strategies on pit road.
00:53 So how were you able to roll off mid pack and find your way here into victory lane?
00:58 >> Well, fortunately, when our little group of Toyotas crashed, it put those that didn't
01:04 crash in a good position.
01:05 So I hate that for the rest of them.
01:08 But sometimes things just don't go as you plan, especially here at a place like talladega.
01:13 So I really, really was surprised that not only Martin but Ty lined up directly behind
01:20 me.
01:21 And I think if it wasn't for them, I don't have the pushes that are necessary for me
01:25 to win this race.
01:26 They were dedicated to my back bumper.
01:27 So again, Toyota, we talk about being a family.
01:31 And those guys really have my back here today.
01:32 So I really appreciate what they did.
01:34 If it wasn't for them, I probably don't win.
01:36 >> Finally, did you think talladega would be your first win of the season?
01:39 A super speedway win for you.
01:41 >> No.
01:42 But I mean, I won a duel.
01:44 Now I won at talladega.
01:45 So I guess I'm just a speedway racer now.
01:46 I'm not good at anything else.
