00:00 Happy Monday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.
00:04 The low pressure area we are monitoring in the south of Mindanao outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has been dissolved
00:11 while the high pressure area in the North Pacific Ocean is moving to the right.
00:17 So it means that we are not experiencing the effect of ridge of high pressure area plus trough of low pressure area.
00:22 But the effect of the Easter Leaves or the wind from the Pacific Ocean is still there.
00:27 It is still bringing hot weather and it is bringing bad weather in some parts of our country especially in the eastern sections.
00:35 We expect the high chance of rain from this afternoon until the evening here in Cadanduanes, Sorsogon,
00:41 Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Samar Province.
00:44 From this evening until tomorrow early morning, the chances of rain here in Mindanao, Davao Oriental, Davao De Oro and Davao Occidental are high.
00:54 It is also the effect of the Easter Leaves. So those who will go out of their houses later tonight, bring an umbrella.
00:59 In the remaining part of our country, if you will notice in our latest satellite animation,
01:04 there are only isolated rains here in the southern portion of Palawan, in the Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Zamboanga Peninsula
01:12 and in the nearby places here in the Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas and Bicol Region.
01:18 The rain there is the effect of the Easter Leaves while the sky is still clear in a large part of the mainland Luzon
01:24 and also in the left part of Mindanao because of the weak effect of our weather systems.
01:33 Meanwhile, after the low pressure area, we are not being monitored by any new weather systems or weather disturbance
01:39 that will affect our country for this week.
01:44 Tomorrow, April 23, the weather is still clear and the chances of rain are still high
01:50 in the Bicol Region, including Catanduanes and Sorsogon.
01:55 It is the effect of the Easter Leaves or the wind from the Pacific Ocean.
01:58 So those who will go out of their houses tomorrow, bring an umbrella.
02:02 For our fellowmen over the rest of Luzon, the effect of the Easter Leaves is also expected.
02:06 In the morning, the weather is still clear in the Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon and Mindoro Provinces.
02:16 The effect of the Easter Leaves is still there in the Northern and Central Luzon, including Metro Manila.
02:21 The weather is generally fair and the weather will be clear from morning to afternoon.
02:27 But there is a chance that the weather will be clear from afternoon to night in a large part of Luzon,
02:33 especially in the Calabar Zone and Bicol Region, where there will be heavy rains or localized thunderstorms.
02:39 The temperature in Metro Manila is still possible to be hot tomorrow from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius.
02:46 This is just the actual air temperature.
02:49 But in terms of heat indices, there are still places where the heat indices of more than 42 degrees Celsius
02:56 by tomorrow afternoon can be experienced.
02:59 Some of these places are in low-lying areas and highly urbanized areas.
03:04 These include Cagayan, Isabela, La Union, Pangasinan, and almost the entire Central Luzon.
03:11 The temperature will still be hot by tomorrow, as well as Metro Manila, Cavite, the northern part of Quezon,
03:17 almost the entire Bicol Region, and also here in the Mayanos and Occidental Mindoro.
03:21 It is possible that the temperature will be above 42 degrees Celsius and possible that the experience of our fellow citizens in Masbate will be up to 46 degrees Celsius.
03:29 So, we still remind our fellow citizens, especially those who are wearing orange,
03:33 to always drink plenty of water and if you are going out, bring a heater, such as an umbrella and an umbrella.
03:40 For our fellow citizens in Palawan, by tomorrow, the sky will be partly cloudy until the sky is cloudy in the morning.
03:46 And there is a chance that the localized thunderstorms will be affected by the Easter Leaves from the afternoon until the afternoon.
03:54 For our fellow citizens in Visayas, it will be raining heavily.
03:57 It will be on the eastern side of the northern summer, eastern summer, and summer.
04:01 Because of the effect of the Easter Leaves, bring an umbrella if you are going out of your house due to the rain.
04:06 For our fellow citizens for the rest of Visayas, partly cloudy skies and the weather will be gloomy
04:13 until the morning and it will be accompanied by short rains, followed by localized thunderstorms and the Easter Leaves.
04:21 Our temperature in Metro Cebu is from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius while there is heat in some parts of Visayas,
04:29 especially here in Rojas Capiz, a large part of Iloilo, and here in our fellow citizens in Northern Summer and in Guiwan, Eastern Summer.
04:39 For our fellow citizens by tomorrow, southern portion of Mindanao, we will have heavy rain and thunderstorms
04:45 because of the new weather system called Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.
04:50 This is the area where the wind from the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere are blowing.
04:57 That's why there will be heavy rain and thunderstorms.
05:01 We are talking of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, these are also areas of Davao Oriental, Davao De Oro, Davao Occidental,
05:08 and a large part of Soxargen.
05:10 It will be a gloomy time by tomorrow.
05:12 So if you are going out, bring an umbrella because it is also possible to have heavy rain and thunderstorms.
05:18 In the other part of Mindanao, compared to the sunny days,
05:23 it will be partly cloudy and partly gloomy over the rest of Mindanao.
05:28 It will be accompanied by occasional rains and thunderstorms.
05:32 This is also a part of the effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
05:36 In Metro Davao, the temperature is from 25 to 33 degrees while in Zamboanga City, it is hotter up to 34 degrees Celsius.
05:44 Even if there will be heavy rain tomorrow in Visayas and Mindanao,
05:49 there are still places where you can experience high heat indices up to 45 degrees in a large part of Palawan,
05:56 especially in the central portions, as well as in the areas of Iloilo, Rojas Capiz, Southern Leyte,
06:02 and also in Samar Province where you can experience a maximum heat index of 43 to 44 degrees Celsius by tomorrow.
06:10 So let us remind our fellow Filipinos there to avoid sunbathing from 10 am to 4 pm to avoid heat stroke.
06:19 For our fellow Filipinos, not only tomorrow but also in the following days,
06:24 we should not have a high Gale Warning or a warning of high waves.
06:29 We should avoid high waves until the waves are just moderate,
06:33 except for thunderstorms, especially in the eastern side of Mindanao and around Morogulf.
06:40 For the next three days, the Easter Leaves will still be around in a large part of Luzon.
06:45 This will still bring hot weather, but unlike the past few days where the weather is usually sunny,
06:52 by Wednesday and Thursday, the sky is usually partly cloudy,
06:57 accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially by sunset.
07:02 As for Metro Manila, the chances of rain are partially increasing by sunset, Wednesday and Thursday.
07:09 In Baguio City, for the next three days, the chances of localized thunderstorms will be high by sunset,
07:15 as well as in a large part of the Cordillera Region.
07:18 While here in Bicol Region, the sky is partly cloudy,
07:22 accompanied by isolated rain showers, especially by sunset and by night.
07:28 For our fellowmen here in Visayas, for the next three days, the weather will be sunny and clear.
07:35 This means that it will still be hot and sunny in the following days,
07:39 especially in areas of Panay Island, as well as in a large part of Negros Provinces plus the province of Cebu.
07:45 Let's hope that the fair weather conditions,
07:49 while in eastern Visayas, will be partly cloudy skies,
07:53 accompanied by localized thunderstorms,
07:56 which will be possible only in the morning due to the easterly weather.
08:00 Lastly, for our fellowmen in Mindanao,
08:03 Wednesday and Thursday, there is an effect of intertropical convergence zones, especially in the southern portion of Mindanao.
08:09 So, the chances of rain are high, especially in the southern part of Davao Region,
08:14 like Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental.
08:19 There will be heavy rainfall in the surrounding areas,
08:22 especially in the southern portion of Zamboanga Peninsula,
08:25 like Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Cebugay, and Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
08:29 Those are the areas where there is frequent rainfall,
08:31 not continuous, but light to moderate, with at times heavy rains.
08:35 And over the rest of Mindanao,
08:37 the northern Mindanao Region, Plas Caraga Region, and Zamboanga del Norte,
08:41 will be heavily rained, with occasional heavy rain and occasional clouds.
08:47 Our day will be cloudy, with a 6-11 forecast,
08:50 and a 5-38 forecast for tomorrow.
08:53 That's all for the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
08:56 I'm Benison Estareja,
08:58 where we always say,
08:59 "Hope for the best solutions."
