00:00 Jordan, looking at Cardiff City and their season as a whole, obviously we've touched
00:07 on the fact that it's not been the prettiest of seasons, but of course they've avoided
00:11 the drop as they were close to it last season. They've established themselves as more of
00:16 a mid-table side this season, so scope to push on maybe next year. In terms of the player
00:22 of the season or player of the year for Cardiff City, does anyone stand out because there
00:27 is someone in the stats that it may just be going to?
00:31 Yeah, I think it's going to be another win for Perrie and G, obviously. He's a fan favourite.
00:38 It looks like he's going to be named as the player of the year. When you look on who's
00:44 scored and you look at the team of the week, Perrie and G's there most weeks. A lot of
00:49 that is down to his goal-scoring traits as well. If Cardiff have a corner, if Cardiff
00:54 have a free-kick, you bet that Perrie and G's probably going to go on to the end of
00:58 that as well. You only have to remember one of those, I think he scored twice against
01:01 Bristol City in the seven-side derby, so that always puts yourself down as a fan favourite
01:07 as well. I think he has perhaps dipped off a little bit over the last few months, but
01:12 that's just been the case. I think the Cardiffs know that they're safe. There's other players
01:18 in contention. I think for me, one of the most improved, even though he's only improved
01:24 on his statistics most recently in the last week with a few assists, is Ruben Caldwell.
01:28 I think last season he was so affected by his injuries because he was having growing
01:32 pains and now he's actually grown into this young player and he's already played at
01:36 a World Cup and there's a lot of hype around him. I've really been impressed by Ruben
01:41 Caldwell. There's always a debate amongst the Cardiff City fan base as to whether he
01:46 should start or he shouldn't, but for me, he's got to be starting every week. You look
01:50 at how Ramsey spent a lot of the time injured this season and I genuinely think that Cardiff
01:55 need to build their team around Ruben Caldwell. He's that good. He's just got to have the
02:00 right men supporting him on the wings as well.
02:02 Then we do look at the official nominations. Dimitri Osputas has been nominated. He's been
02:08 a sound option. Carlon Grant is another. He's got six goals for his assists, which is a
02:15 respectable record for him as well. Then the ever reliable Joe Rawls, captain of the club,
02:22 really good player but really sore. They've got a contract extension recently as well.
02:25 Also, Malonis Tsiopis, great addition from Errol Bullitt. I thought he started off well
02:31 but there's been a few months where perhaps he's looked a little bit tired and it's just
02:35 about finding a settled midfield trio, if you will. He's been a good addition as well.
02:41 There's a few candidates but I think out of all of them, it's going to be another win
02:45 for Perry and G. If you're a promoter team, say if Ipswich Town got promoted or something,
02:50 they might take a gamble on Perry and G. They might not start every week but he might be
02:55 someone they do consider trying and having a bit of squat depth as well.
