00:13Ravens country. Todd Lamar Jackson missed the last four games of the 2021 season
00:18with an ankle injury. He also hasn't practiced with the team since December.
00:22Do you anticipate that he will be a little bit rusty heading into minicamp?
00:27I think so. I mean there's no doubt he hasn't, like you said, he hasn't practiced since early
00:31December. He has worked out with his quarterbacks coach. He has thrown to the
00:35Ravens wide receivers in private workouts, so I expect he'll be okay. I mean
00:39the Ravens, over the OTAs, the Ravens backup quarterback has not performed that
00:42well, so Lamar Jackson is really gonna breathe some life into the offense. I
00:46think he'll bring a new energy. I think people are excited to have him there, so
00:49I think Lamar Jackson, he's gonna flash through these mandatory camps and
00:54the Ravens are more than happy to have him back, I'll tell you that. Well the big
00:58elephant in the room, of course, is what's going on with his contract. What's the
01:02latest with this contract extension that he is anticipating getting from the
01:07Ravens? Apparently the two sides haven't sat down to discuss. Lamar Jackson is
01:12willing to wait. He'll play on the Hurst fifth-year option this year, which is, I
01:16don't know if he gets injured, that makes it, creates a difficult scenario for the
01:20Ravens. They can franchise him next year to buy more time, but the two sides, they
01:25have to, they have to make a decision on whether they're going to be together in
01:29long term or they trade Lamar Jackson with another team. That's definitely the
01:32storyline of training camp and into the season until they reach a new deal.
