00:05 top quarterbacks to watch this fall. I'm Claudette Montana-Pattison with SI right now joined by

00:10 Chrissy Freud of Cowbell Corner. So Chrissy, which quarterbacks across the NCAA do you think will

00:16 rise to the top in 2022? Well I think the battle for QB1 comes down to Bryce Young and CJ Stroud.

00:23 It's going to be by a hair. I have CJ Stroud of Ohio State as my number one quarterback

00:28 coming up this season. He had the highest overall grade from a clean pocket in the nation according

00:32 to Pro Football Focus. 141.7 which I think was somewhere in the realm of 10 points ahead of the

00:37 next guy behind him who was Stetson Bennett. I thought he showed great improvement throughout

00:41 the year, got more accurate as time went on. NFL ready arm I think he has and he fits the ball into

00:46 tight windows and has developed very quickly, very early, something to really be excited about.

00:51 Bryce Young won the Heisman last year. I mean that's something that we can't forget. I think

00:55 that he was really in command of the Alabama offense in his first year as a starter. Good

00:59 overall accuracy at all levels of the field. Going to be in really close contention with Stroud like

01:04 I said. He also has that NFL level arm strength. Really quick release and also not a lot for those

01:10 guys just to tune up overall. And then Grayson McCall is my QB3 out of Coastal Carolina. Operates

01:16 in a very difficult triple option offense with some RPOs in it and whenever you're in an offense

01:21 like that you have to make decisions quick. You have to get the ball out quick. He's been knocked

01:24 a little bit for his arm strength. It's not something I really agree with even though it's

01:28 not necessarily elite. It is adequate arm strength. Not everything. Has a really good electric sense

01:33 of mobility so I think he's going to be a fun player to watch. Someone who has a really high

01:37 football IQ that's going to be someone who rises up the boards as time goes on.
