Which teams have the most to gain at this years NFL draft?

00:00The 2022 NFL Draft is quickly approaching with the first round kicking off on Thursday,

00:08April 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

00:11And Mike, as I mentioned, we are getting down to the wire here.

00:14The NFL Draft is just a few days away.

00:17So out of all 32 teams, who do you feel like has the most to gain in this year's draft?

00:22Well, other teams in the NFC East surely think this.

00:25We write about this at CowboysSI.com.

00:28The Eagles, with their multiple first round picks, and they've done some juggling to make

00:32that last them a while, there's a team that's close.

00:35They view themselves as not vastly inferior to Dallas and maybe even superior to Washington,

00:42although it didn't work out that way for the Eagles last year.

00:46They really could be two very good players away from leapfrogging people in the NFC East.

00:51I think they've made their commitment to Jalen Hurst, although this draft could change that.

00:55But with their multiple first round picks, they can make a big leap from being mediocre

01:00to good.

01:01And then there's the Houston Texans.

01:02And of course, anybody with multiple picks, and we write about this at TexansDaily.com,

01:07they have three and 13 here in Houston.

01:10They aren't going to go from being bad to good, but they can go from being bad to mediocre,

01:15which would be a relief for Houston fans right now.

01:17All right.

01:18Well, speaking of first round picks, last year, it was pretty solidified that Trevor

01:23Lawrence was going number one overall.

01:26This year, there are some clear front runners, but we're not exactly sure who the Jaguars

01:29are going to select.

01:30But in your opinion, who do you think will be the number one overall pick in this year's

01:34draft?

01:35Well, your point about last year is a good one.

01:37This is a quarterback league.

01:39So if there is a blue chip quarterback, the value that he brings you over pass rusher

01:44or left tackle or cornerback or all the rest, it's gigantic.

01:48It's vast.

01:49So you're right.

01:50There isn't that guy this year.

01:52In fact, scouts will tell us this year that they may not have first round grades on any

01:57quarterback.

01:58Doesn't mean a bunch of them won't go in the first round.

02:00Walker from Georgia, the front seven player, is probably the best, surest bet blue chip

02:05guy.

02:06And I bet you that's the way Jacksonville goes at one.
