Duke's David Cutcliffe on beating Charlotte
Duke came out of the bye week with a big win over visiting Charlotte. David Cutcliffe discussed the team's strong performance in the running game and special teams.

00:06 A lot of really outstanding play.
00:08 It ended up being a very unique game with a short field.
00:13 We only had the ball 17 and a half minutes and you score 53 points.
00:17 It's almost impossible to do.
00:20 But we've worked really hard.
00:22 Red zone, we go seven for seven.
00:24 Defensively, we played really well.
00:26 We got a lot of challenges in personnel and different areas right now.
00:32 But had we played a little better on third and fourth down,
00:36 we wouldn't have been on the field maybe quite as much.
00:39 But they're out there 42 and a half minutes.
00:42 So I thought we did get a little tired on a few of those drives where they did
00:46 extend the drive.
00:47 And it gives us something to work on.
00:49 But very proud of the kicking game, great effort.
00:53 Two block punts always are gonna be significant in a ball game.

01:00 Kurt Benedict's done a great job in that area.
01:03 But we've got a big challenging week in front of us.
01:06 And so as always, it's right back to work.

01:12 One of the great things about winning is it's gonna reinforce the quality of

01:17 They know they have worked.
01:19 They know where the emphasis has been.
01:21 They see the results of the emphasis.
01:24 And now you gotta build on it.
01:26 Nothing stays the same.
01:27 You either get better or you get worse.
01:29 And so it's important to them.
01:32 They've committed to it on the practice field.
01:35 We're gonna have, we'll see some things we need to fix.
01:38 But I tell you one thing we don't have to fix is effort, spirit, and
01:41 attitude in preparation and in our play.
01:45 So again, I'm very proud of them.
01:46 And they do get to see the results of their hard work, thank goodness.
