David Cutcliffe announced that cornerback Mark Gilbert is opting out of the rest of this season to rehab his injury and prepare for the NFL Draft. He also announced that center Will Taylor is undergoing surgery this week

00:58 Charlotte is a very balanced football team. They play really well in the
01:03 kicking game, very dangerous offensively. I think Reynolds is an outstanding
01:08 quarterback. They got McAllister and other backs that are running the football
01:12 well. An offensive line that's playing better and better. Threats everywhere on
01:18 offense. Defensively they've had a bit of what we've had where had a tough time
01:23 staying healthy but I love what they do. They're a very versatile defense, an
01:28 aggressive defense. Will Healy and his staff have done an outstanding job at
01:34 Charlotte and we'll have to be at our best to win. The open day has been good
01:38 for us to focus on Duke. We've spent some time preparing for Charlotte but we
01:45 really had a lot of little things to take care of in our regard and I'm very
01:50 appreciative of this. You want to surround yourself with resilient people
01:55 and certainly we have resilient people here. Players, coaches, everybody involved
02:01 in Duke football has been tremendous during a very difficult time. They came
