Coach Mike Krzyzewski isn't happy with college basketball leadership, saying they aren't really leading. They're just making decisions.

00:00 Well, actually, you know, to be quite frank, I think we're prepared better than we usually
00:05 are because our kids have been in a bubble.
00:09 We've had, you know, the extra time even from going to four hours a week to eight hours
00:16 for a couple weeks and now to the regular 20-hour week and not have any guys injured
00:22 or sick.
00:25 We've gotten a lot of individual instruction and because they're kind of in their own bubble,
00:31 most of their classes are remote.
00:32 They become really close as a unit and then it's just a matter of how long can you maintain
00:37 that without having any outside competition.
00:40 In other words, we'll have to navigate whether, you know, what happens if games are canceled.
00:45 I saw where the Gavit games were canceled today or last night and the EMTs in Orlando
00:52 and things that, you know, I think we should have anticipated happening when people were
00:58 trying to put this thing together and how it could be done for safety and also for the
01:04 best possible season.
01:05 But we continue to change week to week and we're going to have to navigate that because
01:10 that's the landscape that we're in and that's how people have, you know, have really saw
01:17 fit to, I hate to use the word lead because I don't think it's leading, they're just made
01:26 decisions that this is the environment we're going to be in.
01:31 And hopefully by the time we do play that there will be national protocols medically
01:36 so that everyone who's playing against one another will be under the same medical protocols
01:43 and which I think are essential for the safety of these kids.
01:48 But we'll, you know, we're good.
01:50 Our guys are good.
01:51 I mean, but they all want to play and we got to make sure that there's a safe environment
01:57 and they have an opportunity to play.
