Duke travels to NC State for the first time since 2009 as the two ACC neighbors play a rare game against each other. Can the Blue Devils continue the momentum from last week's win?

00:05And for the first time since 2009, Duke football is at Carter-Finley Stadium in
00:10Raleigh to battle one of their neighbors,
00:12NC State, who is just 20 minutes down the road from them.
00:15However, thanks to the unbalanced ACC schedule and divisional play,
00:18they play about once every seven years.
00:20This is the first time they've played in any location since 2013.
00:23As you can expect,
00:24this was a topic of discussion among the coaches all week long.
00:28Dave Doran said he didn't think it was fair and
00:30thought that they should play on a more regular basis,
00:32considering how close they're located.
00:34Obviously, there are a lot of other considerations.
00:38For instance, travel across the league, and Dave Cutcliffe of Duke pointed all of
00:42those out, saying that the other teams in the league might be a little upset if Duke
00:46got to play Wake Forest, both Virginia teams, UNC, and NC State all in one season.
00:53That that would be a little bit easy as far as the travel constraints.
00:57Duke compared to someone, say, in Louisville, Boston College, or Miami.
01:01On the field, NC State will look to continue its roll off to a hot start
01:05this season, other than in one loss to Virginia Tech.
01:09Duke, meanwhile, looking to build on its win of last week over Syracuse,
01:12which started to turn around an 0-4 start.
01:15For the Blue Devils, they'll look to rely on their running game.
01:18Mateo Durant and Dion Jackson both had 100-yard games last week, and
01:22they'll look to lean on that.
01:23It also made the going a lot easier for Chase Bryce of Duke.
01:26The quarterback appears to be starting to click with his new offensive teammates.
01:31On the other side of the ball, NC State has a very balanced offense.
01:34Duke was very concerned about stopping the Wolfpack run,
01:37something that's plagued the Blue Devils all year long, run defense.
01:41So it should be a tough challenge for the Blue Devils.
01:43It'll be an upset for them to win, as NC State has favored.
01:47But again, you can kind of throw those things out when rivals meet,
01:49even if they only meet every seven years.
